I always thought that ESO had an strange amount of fog, but i never realized how much that was until i tried the external/mod ESO launcher that removes FOG. I really like the game without FOG it makes big difference and i didn't have any performance issues removing the fog (and my PC isn't a powerhouse, my card is a 560gtx I think), for example the first thing that struck me while trying eso launcher is the character selection itself ( I play aldmeri dominion) man i could see the waterfall that is behind my pj clearly and also some new trees and things i didn't even know they existed there and also the background mountains, i don't have any screenshot ready, but the difference is pretty notable and for the better. Also the other example that really excited me is in cyrodiil, with the ESO launcher when i am at Alessia i can clearly see the Alessia bridge even the path behind the bridge that go to sejanus, and seeing the imperial city from any border keep is really astonishing.
The thing is that the game itself is designed with the fog in mind and far away mountains and objects really don't look that good, but if i have to choose between the default fog and the no fog i would choose the later.
However between 100% fog (currently) or 0% fog (ESO launcher) my perfect or desired fog would be around 20-40% just that little fog that hides the background or the very far away mountains. I must admit that the ingame fog improved since release and its a littler better now, but not enough.
So going back to the topic, is there any plans to improve the fog or make an slider in the setting menus so users can choose how much fog they want ? I really like the game way more without that many fog but having to depen to an external launcher its no good.
PD: i will try to put few comparisions screenshots(you can already see some difference screenshots on ESO launcher page or in reddit) when i get back home.
