Can Vampire's Bane hit be avoided by roll-dodging in PvP?

The Vampire's Bane "bullet" flies so slow that I was wondering if it's useful in PvP if the opponent had 2-3 seconds dodge it so that it never hits him. Any PvP player tested that?

This question applies to Reflective Light and Sun Fire as well.

I use Reflecting Light. I didnt see anyone Dodging it but its so cheap he will run out of Stamina anyways long before you run out of Magicka so its the best spamable Templar ability.
Btw why do you use Vampires Bane and not Reflecting Light?

I have seen some people go out of range of spells with a flight time. Or go around a rock to avoid damage. I've never seen a dodge roll cause them to miss. I think some spells damage instantly and the flight time is just for looks, others have to fly and hit the target.

hm i neder saw this one for Reflecting Light the bullets are like staff attacks they just fly until they hit their target no matter if he uses BE or anything else but Im not shure about dodgerolls because theyre made for dodging projektiles.

People dodge mine all the time. It is very much possible.

Also, the damage is only applied when the projectile hits.

Very true. Plus, I consider it a win even when they dodge it because that costs a lot of stamina on their end.

You can dodge any spell that has a travel time, but not in the way many people think. You cannot dodge AFTER the spell is on the way, you have to dodge BEFORE the spell leaves the caster.
This can be done, as I dodge spells quite often, but that's because I'm dodging proactively and not in reaction to a cast. I'll pop from stealth, attack, then dodge when I think people have time to react, then go invisible and asses the situation. When I'm armed with a bow, this also gives me an increase in speed.

Hmmm. I'll have to double-check that. I was under the impression you just had to be in the middle of dodging as the attack passed the hit threshold. So you are rolling when it would otherwise be registering as damage. I've also seen it miss if they rolled as I was casting. Maybe it's either one? I'll have to try that out later and confirm one way or the other.

Vampire's bane and reflective light are some of the easiest abilities to dodge in game because they move unacceptably slow - way slower that a destruction staff light attack bolt, which just does not make any sense.

As a matter of fact, you can have 3-4 sun fire bolts coming towards you midair and you can avoid them all with a single dodge-roll.
