question about secondary weapon/quickslots

If I set up a secondary weapon and abilities will I gain exp from both sets of slotted skills or just the one thats active. What if I switch between the two mid fight?

TarasconSoul ShrivenAlso whichever is active when handing in quests - so if one set is falling behind you can switch just before handing in a quest to make sure it gets the exp.1
