Trials question.

I had finally found a group for Trials, when I as told on TS that I needed to have the Annulment Light Armor Ultimate or else it would be uncompletable. As I only have 2 in Light Armor, I left the group but decided to put the question through to you folks.

Is it true that without the Light Armor Ultimate, I will die and be unable to complete the Trial? Or was the raid leader just making stuff up?

That is just false. I dont use it at all. It helps in certain situations though. But at no point is it a must have. I am a raidleader. and get through with 36 Souls left without anybody using annulment. I even clear voids at the mage without it. No problem at all.

Agreed, not necessary, if you do get wiped it is probably due to inexperience as everything in trials can be survived without annulment or a gear problem.

I have only seen groups that use annulment on the 3rd boss in AA and nowhere else.Even there it is not needed but some group tactics might require it.Definetly not necessary to complete the trials.

if you have enough dps in the group Annulment aint necessary for 3rd boss, just need to kill all adds every time, before she explodes.

you can also use Barrier instead of Annulment

Though Annulment is a good defense from not dying

light armor ULTIMATE? haven't ever heard about it

No need to use it, just simple waist of one slot on your active bar

This depends. What was your hp? If less than ~2200 then yes, annulment helps for the wispmother. What was the group comp? Maybe there wasn't enough mitigation present (veils, novas, etc) to ensure group survival without it. Maybe raid dps wasnt high enough.

There are lots of reasons why this might be a "requirement". It's highly unlikely the leader was making things up, as you suggest.
