Collectibles and Dyes?

Pardon if this is already been asked...but... I noticed collecting body parts of monsters etc for unlocking dyes now my question is do these parts still drop if a veteran rank player is killing nooblet creatures like nix hound? or are players who've already hit vet going to have to re-roll just to get a few lousy dyes from a nix hound and alit?

I think they only drop if your within the level range, since they are random drops, and drops require you to be within so many levels of the mobs.

So you probably will have to roll a new alt if you want the dyes, mind you Nix Hounds and Alits are very early on, so if it's just them, it's a few days work.

that should really be addressed since... its not fair to the high level players... and if ya started in the pact like me slim chance of ever seeing a veteran nix, alit, etc

There are a ton of alits in Khenarthi's Roost in AD, so if you started in EP should be plenty of vet alits for you there.

There are veteran-level alit in other factions' territory (mainly AD). For Nix hounds, I can't think of a non-EP location that has them, but if you really want the collectible, you can use a low-level EP alt to farm them.

Vet level kills are the best option, everything that is vet level is considered to be level 50 regardless of what rank it is.

I can confirm that the level restrictions don't apply to collections. While I've stopped receiving lower tier leather/hides while out farming alchemy ingredients, the occasional crock or tiger has dropped a collectible item. I was actually surprised when seeing the yellow aura after a kill.
