Does taunting have any place in PvP?

G'day guys,

I've played MMO's where in a player taunts you, you to -20% (for example) damage to everyone except the person who taunted you until it wears off. Is this the case in ESO or do they have no place against people?

That would be fairly powerful. I'm not sure if it would be OP, but certainly very strong.

There's lots of things that reduce the power of your enemy, none that makes an exception for the caster. So actually, now that I think about it, it would be inferior wouldn't it?

Taunting has a place in PvP... But only after you kill someone. Then they continue to send you hate mails etc. I love those kind. I especially love the double spell reflect/ping pong complaint from DKs when I play my sorc.

"How did you reflect shards back at me after I reflected it back at you?! HAX!"

Well, anyone can do it. It's just a lot of fun when sorcs do it to DK because of crystal shards and DK's usually flaunt around like they own the pvp grounds. :P

1h/s defensive posture ability is a reflect available to anyone... It's not only a reflect but it's also comedy sometimes.

lol I've never seen a double spell reflect ping pong like that! It sounds like so much fun!

Afaik there is no effect on players for being taunted, but I do not play PvP that much.

However there are only two taunts anyway:
1st Sword and Board skill.
This one also has a powerfull armor debuff/spell res debuff/armor buff. The secondary effects are very usefull in PvP, as they are in PvE.

3rd Undaunted Skill, Inner Fire.
The only ranged taunt and mana based taunt. Minor DoT and chance to make a synergy. Propably not that usefull in PvP.
