I'm curious, am I the only one who thinks they missed the boat on the armor visuals? (and no, I'm not talking Daedric not being "red" enough). Admittedly, it's probably too late now, but just in case it isn't...
First, I would have argued the Faulds (or whatever they are, not quite Faulds) should have been part of the belts.
Second, I'd have said it shouldn't have been a choice between robe and tunic, but between pants and skirt. Most of the tops look practically the same between robe and tunic. It's mostly only the bottom that is either there (a robe) or isn't. (letting pants show)
Third, while racial motifs were a nice idea, they *really* missed an opportunity there. We don't *really* need 14 varieties of leather pants with slightly different textures. Pants or Skirt should have been based on motif. Dunmer bottoms should have been long skirts. Yes, even heavy. Let people go for that Ordinator look. Some of the other racial motifs as well. (probably caster inclined races would tend towards long skirts) And yes, notice I said long skirts. Some of the races should have shorter skirts. Imperial, for instance, IMO should have looked more like the leather strip "skirts" (heavy looking more metallic, light just a cloth skirt) that are commonly associated with roman centurions (or Xena). And, Khajit and Argonian should have been more shortlike. (which Argonian medium already is, at least in the early levels) Somebody (Nords?) could have had more kiltlike looking bottoms. And, of course, similar would be true for the other parts. Argonian (for tops) is a pretty good example of not just different texture top. And, for instance, some racial belts wouldn't HAVE faulds on them.
