Overload ultimate doesn't work

I like to use my ultimate ability overload when i got tough enemies but sometimes it will just stop working even though it's still active. I always use the quick attacks so i dont know it it would work if i hold the mouse button down. Does anyone else have this problem?

ThisOnePosts✭✭✭✭✭hmm on my VR12 Sorc it seems to work fine. I mostly use the heavy attack for large mobs, but I haven't had issues with it yet and sometimes I use the light attack --- but that also has seemed to work fine. Is this something new or is it persisting through relogs, etc..?1 -
Boom34✭✭I haven't tried relogging when it happens. it doesn't do it every time i try to use it but sometimes it will just stop working when i uae the light attack. Not really new since it's been doing that since i got the ability.1

GnatB✭✭✭✭Admittedly, I only have one character who has it, and she hasn't actually attempted to use it yet, but my understanding is that it consumes ultimate with each attack, and if you don't have enough ultimate, you'll simply do a normal attack until you regain enough ultimate. I'm under the impression that it doesn't automatically turn off once you no longer have enough.
i.e. is it possibly you just ran out of ultimate?Achievements Suck1 -

It's possible but in my experience it usually just goes back to normal attack. I guess I'll have to look into that.1 -
manyrabidrats✭✭✭the way it is working (and yes, it is a bug that did not exist a few versions ago)
is it uses ultimate until the ultimate is out, then the skill should end and normal attacks ensue.
the BUG is that when you run out of ultimate or have ultimate too low for the next attack, the skill wont end and you just wont be able to use light/heavy attacks. hitting 'r' again to end the skill (its a toggle) will allow you to attack normally again.
the bug is that it doesnt toggle off when there is too little ultimate to cast the next attack.2
