A lot of players don't know the right zones that the generals spawn in (I have done the achievement on two of my V12's) and they are killing the same Dark Anchors again and again and wondering why they only ever get the same four generals. I was on an alt and trying to 'teach' the V12, but no one listened (some were even afk spamming)Dagoth_Rac wrote: »I have been trying to get those "Generals of Molag Bal" achievements,

I am sure you know the right zones, but there are so many that don't
One V12 can clear all three anchors in a zone. The more people at the anchor the more mobs that spawn, so a lot of V12's are TRYING to annoy other players so they don't come and try and therefore the clearing of the anchors is faster.
If they changed the veteran anchors so they also were zone set (1 in 4 change of the boss you want instead of 1 in 16) I am sure they would move to those ones instead.

Enlighten us.
No they don't. So far, 9 out of 10 i have encountered didn't give a flying [BLEEP] about the level appropriate players at the anchors.... most of higher ranks do in fact stand back and let the lower level people have fun ...
Well, that didn't sound condescending at all!Hmmm and here I was thinking I was being helpful bringing along my VR3 Templar to heal you when 2 or 3 fools start engaging the mobs and getting killed. I'll just let you die then.

Indeed. I will get a few light hits in for credit then either heal or tank and let the on-level players kill everything.Nox_Aeterna wrote: »Usually i just heal when the low lvl player are fighting , my heals pretty much make them immortal and i always get credit :P.
That's a really good idea. I don't currently use resto staff but was wanting to go get some levels on that. I missed a bunch of bosses the first time through the dolmens so I want to go back. This is probably the best way to do it without pissing people off.
A vet character can actually do them fast enough to be able to make it to every one of them in a zone. This has been happening since launch. There are many inconsiderate over-leveled players in the lower level zones farming anchor achievements or simply showing off.
OP, I know this is not ideal, but just wait for the dolmen to respawn or move to a different dolmen. There are three dolmens per zone, so if you encounter over-leveled players at one, try another. It takes approximately ten minutes to respawn after one has been destroyed, so chances are high that the over-leveled players will be gone by the time you've completed another dolmen.
Good luck!

I was happy when I completed one before anyone else got there. You can easily solo an anchor in a minute, but if two people show up, suddenly it takes like five minutes.
My time is not more valuable than yours, but yours is not more valuable than mine.

As a Vet character I would like to apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience caused by my presence at a vastly lower level dolmen. But I'll try not to be a jerk if and when I choose to go after these achievements.

Perhaps even drop two to make it a challenge.
