Honestly, when I'm not here, reading all the silliness, nihilism and predictions of failure, I'm loving the hell out of ESO.

Playing the game is fun, even re-playing faction stories with new alts and as veteran content. Crafting is fun. Dungeons are fun. Just exploring is fun! Granted, some of the shiny has worn off because those zones don't seem quite so huge and exploration not so exciting, but trying those fights with a new class / build is fun!

So, in short... if you love the game, keep loving it and ignore the doomsayers.

    Discussions on forums don't so much detract from the game experience as they do highlight the problems I've been experiencing but never put much thought into. A good point, though.

    It's always the case with the official forums which is why I typically gravitate towards fan forums where the level of hate is significantly reduced. While some of the complaints and general insanity is definitely warranted, explained, discussed and explored, a lot of it isn't and does start to become annoying. Ultimately it's best to take half of what you read with a grain of salt and a bottle of wine, it helps.

    I love it and am thoroughly addicted, but I've had plenty of complaints, some verging on rants.

    Zenimax seem to suffer from the same complaint as many software developers (games and productivity) in that rather that spending time tracking down and resolving fundamental bugs, they bury them under endless spangley new features and content (the phrase polishing a turd springs to mind).

    ESO is a fantastic game and getting better all the time BUT there are a huge number of pretty fundamental bugs and balance issues that never seem to get address; it's great but it could be much better!

    I have been vocal as anyone when it comes to denouncing bugs, flawed or broken mechanics ( I LOVE my Nightblade Archer so you know I'm a bit of a glutton for punishment ) and other game-breaking / annoying issues.

    However, I've also been, I feel, a voice of reason. These games are hugely complex and every time a bug is fixed the potential to break two or five other things crops up. I also understand that new games will always have major issues and, while I've experienced some first hand, most of them have been minor (requiring a relog or coming back the next day ).

    I understand the need for balancing game fixes with adding new content, especially given the number of uberleet power gamers that chew up months worth of casual content in a matter of days and then take the forums and proclaim F2P in a week and ESO is 'teh worst game evar!!11!'.

    Personally, I feel that the game has gotten progressively better in every way since release.

    agreed. though I don't let these guys get me down--in fact, some (most :flushed: ) of the posts here give me a good laugh.

    I do like the game! Very much.
    I get it when people are annoyed with bugs, even if I think life in general requires a reasonable amount of patience for things that unexpectedly go wrong.
    I dont get that there are people who seem to dislike the fundamental structure of this game, but keep playing and making outraged posts consisting of a list of demands their $15 a month entitles them to. Ive never felt like buying something gives me the right to imposition my ideas upon the creator/manufacturer. Ive bought alot of games I didnt like. I stopped playing, didnt post in the forums anymore, and persued a refund if It felt genuinely warranted.

    Before I signed up, I was a bit worried by the negativity, but as a long time MMO gamer that's nothing new. I've seen plenty of "this game is dying" or ragequitting.

    With that said, after some 2 months I am enjoying myself immensely, the only reason I'm even on the forums is because of maintenance (grrrrr!). There are some bugs, most of the new ones seem to get fixed quickly, and there's room for improvement in some UI components, but it seems like there are plenty of add-ons that complement the game well.

    I'd say we have a winner here folks!

    The game is great but of course has bugs and can be improved, like ZOS has been doing quite steadily, and feedback on forums is unvaluable BUT sometimes people are confused about what CONSTRUCTIVE negative criticism is

    I lived without a television back in the day. I have to say that I was happier without it. I'm beginning to think that I'd be better without these forums, though sometimes they are helpful and informative... a conundrum.

    Dude...I'm paying $15 a month...since the game doesn't offer the full value...at least let me rant and be active on the forums. Then I feel at least I'm spending my money on something of value.

    Every month the forum here gets more positive because the players who complain quit playing. If you think the forums are bad now, you must be new here. Though your 5 stars say different...

    I come to the forums to read what the latest whines are about, but I do read a few sadly very few good constructive posts, I have learned a few things about the game and some ideas, from the forums, outside of that I am playing the game and havinvg a good time, I don,t play much of the forum game, think I only have like 89 total posts.
