always the bitching about people with decent builds....

The mana cost goes up when you use it more than every 4 seconds. It doesn't need a nerf at all, it's a perk to being a sorc. Just like standing there holding block and popping GDB as a DK, or spamming Blazing shield as a Temp. Every class has their perks that helps them survive.
I'm sorry you guys were frustrated that this guy used good tactics and effectively kited you.....but it shouldn't have been that difficult for 6 or 7 to either burn him or stun him long enough to burn him.
Effective use of a class specific skill does not mean class needs a nerf.

It was nerfed because it was too effective before. It's still too effective when an entire group can not chase down and kill the guy because by the time the fastest pursuer gets to the sorc with some form of CC .. the sorc gets his immunity up and is out of the CC by the time the rest of party shows up to try to burn him and he's off to the races once again.

Seriously dude, it was nerfed for a reason. The new caps and gear sets are allowing it to be exploited very near the level it was pre-nerf.
Always the defensive comments from people trying to preserve their self-serving broken mechanics...

Don't see a problem with someone using it to their full capabilities so they don't get slaughtered all the time.
OMG, a group following one guy, and can't catch him? This must be the end of the world!!!!!!!!
The better question is, wtf are those people doing following one person around the map like they have nothing better to do?
I've advocated a 1 sec cast time since ealy beta. I still believe that is the best way to address a lot of woes. And then remove the penalties for using it again.
Another way could be to give it an aimable reticle like grand healing and spear shards. That way it would actually take some skill to use it.
MADshadowman wrote: »Seriously dude, the caps got raised for everyone not just for this guy. You too can use this to get more stam to block more damage, or to sneak and run longer. Or get more health or magicka or whatever you like to get a better build.
Next time you're with 6 or 7 other people, make sure you choose some that can ride a horse, use bolt escape, effectively stun or chain pull people. Yes, this is actually a thing, you can chain pull a streaking sorc. and if the sorc is able to escape 7 angry people, then he is obviously a good sorc. i'm sure you'll find other enemies out there that are willing to die.

Seriously dude, chain doesn't work but about half the time and costs more than bolt escape.
Any sorc can build for this and do the exact same thing this sorc did to that group in the games current state. That hardly qualifies this individual being an amazing player. Like a true defender of broken easily exploitable mechanics... you don't offer up any potential tweaks or changes... you just jealously defend your broken mechanics till the bitter end.
I think it should get weaker the more it's used. They had the right idea by making it cost more. But it should cost more and get weaker. That would make it more in line with balancing issues.

So you mean every streak should take 1 second to cast? so 1 second for 4-5 meters? how about a healing skill that takes 20 seconds to cast? Does this sound like a good idea?
Honestly, you people are like the people that sue mcdonalds because they burned themselves on the coffee just because they're too stupid to know that freshly brewed coffee is hot.
