As I can only do one of those at a time, it will be end of September/early October before I am done.

At your next respec, put just 3 points into the research skill, load up 3 items for research, then go back and respec out those points and you have 3 items being researched and all your points for other things.

I don't think you lose the 3 items being researched, just the time bonus

It would help if we got Exp for applying Glyphs and recharging items. However, the exp gained for Enchanting Crafting is too low. I am going to respec my Enchanter and put those points into something useful for now. He can't make anything for any of my characters and he has deconstructed every glyph I have found with 3 characters. He can make things for lower level characters but that does me no good right now. I need another 10 or so levels in Enchanting and that is going to take too long.

It is a bit weird that after 4 months of constantly being told that enchanting is way too hard that they have done nothing. Obviously I feel for those that did invest masses of time and money into the soul-destroying grind to level enchanting but it is just way too hard compared to the other professions.

I am not a fan of massive changes that take the devs weeks to plan so how about a 1 minute of effort change? I like your idea. Just go to the line of code that defines the reward for deconstructing glyphs and add a 1.5 multiplier. Enchanting will still be stupidly slow...but better.

    Enchanting isn't hard.

Provisioning and Alchemy and the "non-researching" aspect of the smithing skills are waaaaaaaaaaay to easy to hit 50 in.

Would have preferred all of it to take at least as long as enchanting, but I plan on playing for a few years…

You don't have to have an enchanting buddy. It's just the fastest way. The second fastest way is to co-level two toons on your account. The exp hike is tied to the toon and not the account. An enchanting buddy is faster only because each of you brings a pool of runes whereas with one account your using the same pool. If you are in a guild with friends it won't matter, since so few people level enchanting, they will send you what they find.

Also, your goal is level 40. I'm not sure what you get from 40-50, but you can make everything currently in the game at 40. You can't say the same about other professions because of trait research.

Enchanting levels about as fast as you do, doing normal leveling activities, if you consider that you can make VR12 glyphs at 40. People get hung up on the fact that their enchanting level is behind their toon level. However, they aren't equal.

Your better off leveling all 8 toons on your account to 12 in enchanting for 2/3 hireling. Then you receive a steady stream of runes to push the primary 2 enchanters up. Getting to 12 is extremely easy if you are not solely a crafter and have leveled a toon into veteran content. Farm white VR glyphs in a public dungeon and it takes a few days to a couple weeks depending on play time. That's really what the white glyphs are for, leveling 1-12. Same with Ta runes.

Finally, I suggest focusing on getting to veteran content before putting much effort into enchanting. Both to farm dungeons for VR level white runes and because you can make 10k+ gold an hour and just buy the runes you need. Today, kuta = 3k, rekuta = 1k, denata = 400. I can generally buy as much as I want at peak hours.

The only other thing I do to make it easier is to send the drops I get in public dungeons to a friend who sends them back. That way I never have to leave the public dungeon to sell. Realize, though, that this is worthless as long term storage because if you are leveling an entire account, you get hit by the mail cap.
