you can always join some of the guilds, where they sell a lot, they tent to know the prices

Like purple recipes, they have since patch gone way down, and some still try to sell them to ridiculous prices, without luck

I have not joined a Trade Guild, but maybe I will. I make enough money dumping things to a merchant. I was also thinking, if I joined a Trade Guild, was to make things with Traits for people to research. Those are in demand, at least by me, far more than buying a dropped loot item that I am going to get anyway at some point.

So, one way to use up your crafting mats is to make things with them for sale to a trade guild. But, stacks of Mats? I don't see buy pricing that is much different than what I can sell it for to a trader. This is why I think to maximize gold, you need to make stuff. Or, just dump it with a merchant to save the most time.
