Lastly, why all the hate about WoW?
It's endemic in most MMO forums.

It's of course patently true that WOW's playerbase has large numbers of juveniles (mentally, not necessarily chronologically) and so by distancing themselves from that association by sneering at WOW and its players, posters who write WOW 'hate' hope to seem superior and get +1s from other forums members.

The fact that most WOW haters fail to see is that, even now when the number of active accounts in WOW is around 1/2 what it was at the peak, it's still THREE TIMES larger than the next MMO and for a good reason: it's a fun game that got a lot right and is keeping millions of players still paying and playing even with all the faults the haters bring up.

ZOS, Trion, Turbine, Square Enix, Anet, etc. etc. would KILL to have WOW's subscriber numbers and the haters resent that most of all. :D

To be pedantic, you're referring to loot which was 'rolled' on and the grace period was to recover from "sorry, I shouldn't have rolled on that".

No game I play allows you a 'grace period' to trade non-rolled drops that are BOP.

BOP is a thorny issue, I hate it but many hardcores love it as it helps boost the e-peen value of their phat lewt, in their eyes at least.
In their defense I think they knew there are people who duped/knew dupers and have 5m+ gold, so they didn't want them to be able to buy the best gear ontop of being the richest.

But a grace period would be an amazing thing. New, good ideas are good for a new MMO

True that. I just wish this game would have kept the same itemization system that WoW and all MMO's have, which is more difficult to obtain gear = better gear.

I see that our groups 11 minute Trial time is still second. Nobody even does trials anymore because of this. Fantastic.

    Simple solution:

Allow us to improve the level and traits of already existing gear through some skills and materials.

It bugs the hell out of me that all gear becomes worthless as you level up.

I don't like the traits on most of the sets to be honest, I would like the ability to "Modify" the item to change the trait.

    Within; Without.

I also think some idiot in Developmental thinks that people find it fun to chase carrots on a stick and run on a Gear Treadmill where all your choices are only good for a month or so.

This is terrible gameplay and drives players out of a game very quickly. The frustration of finally catching up just to be pushed back down a level, that is something you can only tolerate 1-2 times.

No, it isn't fun. Want to know what is?

Reaching the top level of a gear set, tromping and stomping for a while then making a new gear set for a different build style yet still having your prior gear, which leaves you the choice of which one to use.

    Within; Without.

Im quite the opposite. I find it boring if the game doesnt provide new goals for me.

P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

I'd say the average person doesn't have enough time to waste just so you can feel entertained. If you choose to rush through the game, that's your problem.

I've spent all my money on my current armour set - if it's about to become obsolete with an upcoming patch then I don't see what I'm supposed to do.

I didn't even realize vr13 was going to be a thing. Christ, I just got a 5 set of vr12 warlock gear. It's not the leveling up that is a problem, it's the gear treadmill.
Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.

In addition bound armor from bosses.

We have had 4-5 complete tanking sets drop in all the runs I have done. NONE of them dropped for me. We have had 2-3 complete healing sets drop, NEVER for the healer. I (the tank) ALWAYS gets the DPS set - I'm further along with my Worm Cult's Rainment set than our primary DPS is, and I'm the tank.

Give us 2 minutes to trade bound pickups. No more is needed.

People are losing the willpower to run dungeons in my guild. We laughed for a while at how ridiculous the RNG is, now 2 months later it feels like it is actively trolling us. Games added a grace period to (or completely moved away from) bound drops for a reason - it's frustrates groups of players.

Yep,same happened to our group. Healer has dps/tank gear,i have tank/healer,tank has all the dps gear, medium + light. It's pretty clear that it is designed that way to make us farm the hell out of the vet dungeons.

Pretty bad. Also, the game is not rewarding at all when it comes to loot drops.Last bosses rarely drop good items, you never get a blue drop anymore, not that you would use it.Overall itemization in the game is horrible.

I reached VR12 with my NB a few days ago.Have all my gear epic/legendary...Did 350 dps on a single target boss with my Bow spec last night.I've simply lost the will to play.

LOL careful Nevarine will come in here and tell you how your doing it wrong and stamina builds are better then Magica.

I have been saying this for months and 3 road aheads ago they promised a overhaul in dungeon itemization....... Still waiting. another update of more exploitable craglorn,ya im done. they suckered me back with the set changes and Dyes. Im done until they fix all the ass backward design concepts and imbalances.

In my opinion....I think since the vet system is going away and champion system is the new direction...I don't think they will raise the vr cap. My issue is that for some reason the easiest thing to do in the game is add better loot..which seems to be beyond zos decision makers. But I agree...If they do raise anything it makes old gear useless for those players at max v12....but then again when you were lvl 49 and kept leveling it made all your other gear obsolete also. To assume or be mad that your gear will become outdated has a reason to worry. ..I would say move on to something else...because the whole point of playing for a long time is to always get the new best gear.
