for many THIS is where the competition is:
campaign 10 days old - almost 28,000 points per faction and yet they are only separated by by a few hundred points
it's like an awesome challenging race where all the competitors are neck and neck and the lead changes often and everybody is excited
you on the other hand are like a fire ant on the ground that got run over by the competitors but insist on saying 'BUT I'M STILL RELEVANT, I CAN BITE YOU YOU KNOW!!!'
give it a rest will ya?
we get that you like small gvg - we get that you hate zergs
why don't you get that we're in an AvAvA game DESIGNED to have hundreds of players on the screen at the same time (the epic FPS faiuls with that are a totally separate issue lol)
arenas are coming - until then enjoy the small gvg you find and quit the epeen stroking - please!
D.
So......You think you're getting competition in a point system that's entirely decided by who has the most population in the end?
According to Nala, who knows everything about EP, a guild who could barely field 8 members half way through the campaign single-handedly won Wabba 1.0.

newsflash - pops are very even - much of the day they are locked - other times EP might have more pop, or DC, AD etc but over the long run they are pretty even - closeness of the scoring in that image points to that as well
you got that link to the video for us yet?

All 3 factions are locked every night so the populations are equal. Most, if not all of the top guilds are running Thornblade. The scores prove that the competition is equal since no one side is running away with it. That's my definition at least. Best people and scoring proves there is high competition in this server. Go look at the other server scores. They are one sided, hence no competition.

I hate to agree with Nala, but Nicolle and Fixxate’s group destroyed EVERYONE for the first 2 months of the game; I don't really think anyone can debate that.

I did and my definition would hold true. It's been awhile but the Tier 1 Server battles were fairly lopsided for quite some time (at least until that massive alliance decided to disband). You always had #1 way a head and #2 and #3 duking it out for second. That was my experience for the first 6 months, then I quit.
I agree that the point system isnt telling the entire story, but it's a good indicator if there is or isn't competition. Based on how even the scores are, Thornblade's mass 24x7 pvp server is competitive. That's not to say it's the same competitive as GW2's arena's. That's apples and oranges.

Well Lowbei... you made me finally fix my forum account because of all this epeen you've been throwing around (most of it was earlier in the thread admittedly). hope you're happy. (honestly.. at least have a working computer if you're going to e-peen flex on the forums)
for those of you who don't know me (which is probably all of you) i'm Vesir; Lowbei +Nijjijjion + Xsorus's healer and can comfortably say we welcome any attempts to get some 3v3 or 4v4 action if you want it (you can reach me @Vasuo) I'll even stream it (i'll start streaming every time we pvp regardless of if we're doing these fights anyway)
I'm sorry that the only way you guys have known Lowbei is the elitist forum troll cause outside of the forums he's a really cool guy. but his forum personality wears on all of us as well (well i can't speak for nijjijjon since he's on vacation)
Honestly Lowbei.. even if we are the best on the server (and to be clear i'm not saying that we are) who expects to win 100% of 3v3/4v4s? Even the best lose.
In short: We'd love competition/fights and i'd love to drop the whole e-peen fest even though it was mostly started by Lowbei in an attempt to bring competition (there were so many better ways to have gone about that man)

Pretty much the entire point scale of GW2 was decided by how much aussie population you had in that game. I will be seriously surprised if DC doesn't come in 3rd place at the end of this month as well. Its a toss up between AD and EP coming in first place, AD for all intents and purposes should come in first, but they often don't seem like they care about end campaign results.

Fair enough. The Aussie wildcard held a ton of weight in GW2, I suppose that is why the Alliance dominated as bad as they did. We cannot discount the notion that players who do not play during American prime time certainly affect the score, but in the end, it all evens out. It certainly beats logging in at night and having the map a single color, whether that be my faction (AD) or the others.

Yeah, I think were talking about 2 different things. I meant that Condemned knew about how to destroy massive groups of people because of their knowledge of game mechanics. Nicolle was the first person to popularize negates on big groups (and back then negate wasn't AOE capped), and everyone in their guild spammed oils before most people even knew how to use them properly. Not to mention how strong emp and bats was back then, they use to camp AD by the gates for hours at a time when I first started.
