With all this Magicka in 1.3 is Bolt escape same as before?

Saw him fighting someone, as in using magicka spam skills from far away on my horse.... noticed he was a sorcerer so stayed on my horse to ride in front of him. The guy notices me and does bolt escape about 4 times which is impressive considering he just fought someone like 1 second before. So i stay on my horse and catch up to him to about 5 meters where he is just finishing his dark exchange. I knock him down and commence wrecking his world nearly killing him, but he bolt escapes again about 5 times.

So say 9 bolt escapes after having dropped some crystal frags and mage furys on a guy.

Potion maybe? Not that I'm defending it, Blot Escape and Green Dragon Blood are still comically more powerful than anything the Templar or Nightblade has to escape.

Nightblade escapes are a combination of frantic spamming, luck and praying that Dark Cloak actually lasts its 1.5 seconds.

Templar version of escape (1 vs 1) is heal and hope the other guy runs out of mana first and he runs away. Cause no way the templar can run away.

dark exchange

Can almost completely refill a magicka bar. Just tested, on my VR3 5 light armor sorc (around 2k magicka), did about 6 bolt escapes (spamming) before I ran out of magicka. I run warlock 5piece. Without spamming, I could use the ability enough times in a row that I'm not even going to test it out to give you a number. Mages' Fury also has a morph that gives you magicka back when you kill someone with it.

Anyway, yes I'd say it's about the same. The reduced regen out of combat with it in addition to the increased cost if you try to spam it somewhat lessens the effects of the changes on it.

Maybe they should just remove whole bolt escape and why not remove every sorc skill? I can use it like 5 or 6 times out of combat and incombat like 3 - 4 times. Btw i never ever do PVP.

ya, spamming Shadowcloak is hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and it's not exactly clear why this is. For instance sometimes I hit SC and I ghost. If my magicka is up I can get some distance. Other times I hit cloak and it drops immediately. Some DOTs or Negative Effects cancel on activation and others don't seem to. I think Calthrop spam may be the bane of all NB. And still at other times there is nobody within 15 meters doesn't appear to be a dot or effect on me and spamming SC does nothing but burn Magicka.

I wouldn't mind some clarification on this ability from ZOS. Better yet, extend it to about 4 seconds, make it actually remove more than one negative effect and allow movement through calthrops. Does mistform work that way too?

The Templar version of escape isn't heal. Because that will drain more magicka than damage spells.

And the day I will run out of fight, is a day shameful to my Khajiit Templar. I would rather cut my glorious tail. Or pull the hair of my mane. Hell, delete the toon and roll a Nord or a Breton.

But there isn't such issue to run from DK/SC/NB. Usually they try to retreat first.

And I face another similar Templar, it ends up in a proper sword fight after both run out of Magicka, since cannot kill each other.

But why run out of a sword fight? Isn't that what we always ask here in the forums??

Mage light and its morphs dont always display and nothing w/n 12m can stealth. Aside from that most of the spells sorcs have are a joke outside of pvp, considering a sorcs best maintained dps is weaving crushing shock and light attacks.

And cloak vs bolt escape it's just LOL, it doesn't work when sorcs bolt e in your cloak direction ,making you stunned and unstealth ,and cloak useless, expecially if they use magelight or detect potion...
