Option to turn off dyes?

Is there the possibility of a setting to disable the dyes from displaying. I am asking for a few reasons. I find that it is possible that having to render all of the different colors may be contributing to the lag I am now experiencing (was smooth before 1.3) in PvP. Also, sometimes I just to not want to stare at the technicolor rainbow that is some peoples armor at this point. Nothing screams Elder Scrolls like Magenta colored plate armor. I feel the option to turn it off would be nice (just using the default colors).

Dyes are not the issue. One color is just as much work as another to render. If the armors had new shapes and polygon counts to support the dyes, then that could be an issue if they were not optimized.

Lag is caused by some other reasons. However this is easy to test. Just enter into a fight with stock armor and see what happens.

However, one of my characters has not dyed their armor, the other two have. All 3 have lag issues in PvE since the last patch (have not played today yet)
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I can test with my armor not dyed, but even if I take all of my dye off, when I enter, everyone else will still be dyed and if that is an issue (even if unlikely) not really serve as much of a test.

I find all the people running around peacoking with as bright and obnoxious colors they can find a little annoying I'd like to eventually see an option to turn it off too.

True, but it is still not the dyes. All the Armor colors are just an RGB value, even for the stock ones. This is all that changes with the Dyes is the RGB value that is used to render the specific color. So, the same work is being done behind the scenes to render red as it it does to render silver or brown. So, 40:200:20 is just as much a load as 120:24:100 for a different color.

I also experience the lag in PvE dungeons when I am the only one (or near to the only one) in it. For example the Solo Dungeons during the MQ, there are no dyes at all in there, but there is lag.

I'm pretty sure the color pink is causing the lag ;)
