The non-vet campaign was probably the best idea ZOS has ever had

Seriously. The lack of I-win builds and gear you see in vet campaigns (aoe blobs, one shot bow exploits, magicka regen of 200, etc)

Classes at these levels actually feel more or less balanced. You can tell a good player from a poor one even in the small paintrains, they actually take damage, and significantly so, even from a small group effort.

Take out things like barrier, necrotic orb, and the super synergies like that and the whole game changes.

Ive been having a blast playing my level 37 sorc on the nonvet. Its actually the most satisfying PvP ive seen in this game since beta. The gear/morph/build curve is nowhere near as bad as the one build to rule them all sticks and scarves you see in the vet ones.

Sure you come across the occasional level 46+ that obviously minmaxed the toon and twinked it out with hand me downs from his high level alts, but thats the exception to the norm. Those guys dont last long anyway, because they level out. However ZOS you need to address the V1 problem. Currently (and I expect its logout related) someone can remain in the campaign for some time after they reach V1 tier gear and level. Any plans to address that issue?

In any case, while yall are fighting aoe blob vs aoe blob in Chillrend or Thornblade I am finding quite satisfying small and large scale battles in Blackwater. I suggest you try it.

=D

Edit to add: Fix v5 guards, make em v1 for this campaign like they used to be. Literally being killed in one hit by an archer guard is no fun.

I play on the Eur non vet. reroll a NB for that, started at level 10, I am now lvel 18. Even the swarmbats don't take a lot of damage. :-)

We had an epic fight at Glademist last saterday and it took hours before we could get it. You need a full raid to take a resource and you will wipe a lot of times before you have it, because of the V5 guards.

    This!
Rip Aprodite - Sorcerer AD-Eur (it was fun untill patch 1.6, I became a tank. They gave me this strong shield to protect me. It became stronger if I stacked magicka. I never asked for this and now you expect from me to relearn my sorcerer again and spent my hardworking money on a broken game.. what do you think? Never forget 5-29-2016!) What a mess!

Not only the guards but the whole environment should be rescaled to lvl 50 / V1. Went to Cyrodiil in that campaign with my low to do some PvE (Skyshards, Dungeons, Quests) and had serious problems.

I think they said they're just going to buff people up with that scale buff to make them able to deal with Vr5 mobs easier.

Which will be nice for those campaigns, since a lot of content is out there

seemed really dead when I checked it out. Still a nice addition to the game.

Genuine question: do non-vet campaigns have elite v5 guards in the keeps?

If they do, I think nerfing the guards would be better than buffing the players. Most non-vet players haven't unlocked all the skills which are required to deal with those guards, so the buffs have to be seen in context. Also, a vr5 elite guard has more health and DPS than even a fully spec'ed v12 player which makes the imbalance even bigger.

A few facts about elite v5 guards:
DK guards have 10k health and huge dmg mitigation from their armor. Healers do 1k/sec single-ally heals (if not interrupted) and put down Negates. Sorcs put down 500dps AoE rings on flags. Archers snipe for 2.5k dmg.

Not sure how buffed nonVets who typically don't have the best gear/sets/skills can hope to deal with that.

Yeah it is fun. Everyclass and weapon is viable. And its also funny watching people try to use the same strats as vets, such as destro/batswarm or dk standards. They get slaughtered lol.

Im almost tempted to stay in the non vet

Yes, they do have those vet guards.

As far as why they're just buffing the players. If they changed the mobs to lvl 50, then they'd have 2 different maps to maintain, adding to the workload. By scaling the player. Given the popularity of non vet campaign though, I think it would be effort well spent.

Some more people would be welcomed but so far I always found a group running. Invites come really fast, no one will be left aside - even me
Leveling pretty fast and ap is nice as well.

Because like you said , few waste their time on this before they get high vr or max lvl.

Now , when zen remove vet lvls and make everyone lvl 50 , this will end and people will min/max in that cyro also , enjoy it while you can.
