I'm posting this because it seems to get mentioned in passing, but there's no real discussion about it that I've found.
Cons:
- Only usable out of combat
- Uses up stamina
- Requires a particular set and ability to be used
- Requires being a vampire??
Pros:
- You're an invisible horse
- Requires being a vampire??
It's just kind of absurd. I thought this was meant to make it so vampire DKs weren't better at sneaking than non-vampire NBs, for example, but being able to stack it on top of the vampire passive makes it much more than that. Maybe there's a reason for allowing it to stack with the vampire passive, but I don't really get it.

The set is pretty good and just about every melee NB will be using Concealed Weapon already. Without Concealed Weapon, you still move like a horse. Many many people were already vampires, even just for the movement passive. Even stamina usage is kind of meh because you're halfway across the map before it gets low enough to worry about.
I mostly included the cons to try to be fair, but I don't personally see them as being very bad at all.
EDIT: I could also add to pros: Makes it literally impossible to cut off reinforcements in Cyrodiil. poodlemasterb16_ESO✭✭✭✭✭Whipped up a Night's Silence set for my NB. Then I tried it on my Vampire Witch. Whoo that's fast, I think faster than my 50 horse. Whipped up another set for my Vampire NB son.

You don't have to be a NB to do this. And you can still very much be cut off. I have a set I wear in cyrodiil for ganking people, I respeced to concealed weapon when the set began to work. I am not, however, a vampire.
The actual cons are you have to sacrifice the very good stats of 5 pieces of other set armor. I take a massive hit to my stats when I wear this set.

My NB Vampire son has a set now and it will be quite ridiculous on him. Faster than a horse and invisible ... sweet.0 -

5 set items (Night Silence). That means another 5 items you don't have free choice over. It is crafted so it is not quite as bad, but you could have another 5 items set instead.

The right morphs/passives.
The only thing NB about this is concealed weapon. And the NB has Sneaking as part of thier thing so this minor bosst is acceptable.
Also note that the Night Silence bonus only works after you completed stealthing. It won't work before you cusor/detection marker is a line.

They are not bad. I run that and 4 Night Mother on my low level NB. He is my Enchanter and Alchemist so we can play with the equipment very well. I can add all kinds of things to a ring and of course armor and weapons. The stuff you can buy is very limited. As well stamina, stamina recovery and weapon critical are good for any NB.0 -

When I was playing around with this, I raced a guy with a light horse that had both stamina and speed appearance changes on his horse. I was slightly faster than him and won the race. I also think we should look at how this could be used strategically in PvP. A big argument I see is that this can only be used outside of combat, which is true. But you can have big group of players using this to travel to different keeps, unseen, at the speed of a horse. And once those players reach their destination, they can quickly change out their armor to a different set.
Look at it from the enemy's PoV. If there are any gank groups looking to stop reinforcements from reaching a keep, they won't have a chance to do so because the enemy will quickly sneak by unseen.Main: Imperial -- Nightblade -- LVL 50

I'll time it on my Vampire Witch. She does have Steed Stone though, although it will make no difference to the test. It seemed at least as fast as my 50 26 1 Imperial.

It's not faster than a horse that is devoted to speed, even the starter horse (imperial common) have tested it out.
I was waiting for people to start whining about this. Funny how those people fail to acknowledge that the set is by itself pretty bad in stats compared to other ones and that to get the best speed you have to use a bad morph (concealed weapon) and have vampire which makes you weak to fire and reduces your health regeneration which with the soft cap increase is more detrimental than it was before.☠ Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured? ☠

Not sure why people put it's bonus down. Some stamina, stamina regen and weapon critical is very useful. It does not take much adjusting to fit this into a very useful set.0 -
ThisOnePosts✭✭✭✭✭This is a nice set to be perfectly honest however it replaces actual damage enhancers in exchange for speed. You will only be finding some people wanting to use this since there are now a ton of options however this set is very fun. I don't use it with concealed weapon on my NB as I prefer surprise attack by far and the speed is plenty enough without concealed weapon.0 -
