[Request] Roll Dodge only in combat

Please add a toggle in GAMEPLAY options to only dodge if you're in combat.

Double Tap to Dodge [On|Off]
-- Double Tap Speed [ slider/ms ]
-- Dodge only in-combat [On|Off]

I'm sick of rolling off cliffs and into lava. :)

    You can turn off double tap for roll and map it to a key. I mapped it to one of the thumb buttons on my mouse. Default dodges back unless you're pressing a direction. That way you only roll when you intend.

    I love the function in combat and it's very useful to have it Double Tap. Now edging up to a cliff to look over usually will plummet me off the edge because of how i move up "attempting" to get close.

    Accidental dodging is the reason I keybound it and just got used to using it that way. Though to be fair I was already conditioned by to use that key to dodge by playing GW2.

    Sounds like you might be trying to half tap yourself up to the edge. Try mapping the walk toggle, or sneaking, or hold block as you edge yourself closer. This will give you more precise control without accidently tapping yourself over.

    True, and I could do this (map to key) but it really should be as easy as putting in there function:

    func roll_dodge() {
    if(UnitInCombat() ~= player_setting) then return end

    -- their normal code to do the roll dodge


    }

    The easier fix is to maintain control over your character so you stop jumping to your death instead of removing the ability to quickly get past traps, take advantage of hasty retreat, etc.

    Might also consider decreasing the double-tap time as a temporary fix.
