Just one of those "wow, this is pretty cool!" moments ...

Now i know this was just a scripted event but the way it unfolded was just one of those moments in the game when you think to yourself "wow, this is pretty cool!".

So i'm running around Grahtwood with my alt High Elf and she's in one of those market place areas near the big tree, just looking around.

Next to a stall are a High Elf and a Khajiit arguing about whether or not Moon Sugar should be illegal because, among other things, it is used to make Skooma.
Both of them are not interactable, so i just stand there and listen.

The argument goes on for a good 5 minutes and it feels like a real conversation, going back and forth between the two.
And it was quite interesting to listen in to the whole conversation.

All of the sudden the Khajiit turns to me, points at me and asks:
So, what do you think about this? Should Moon Sugar be illegal?

Then both of them become interactive and you get the choice to either side with the Khajiit or the High Elf and both have some follow up dialog afterwards.

That was just one of those great little moments that really help bringing this game alive ...

I like to stop and listen to the NPC's, and it amazes me how much work went into their dialogue. Even bandits will hold lengthy conversations pertaining to their profession and situation.
Rune Fell- Dunmer Mag Sorcerer (DC)~The Adventurer
Runed Claws- Khajiit Stam Dragonknight (DC) ~The Tank
Rain Fell- Argonian Mag Templar (EP)~ The Healer
Dragon Talon- Bosmer Stam Nightblade (AD) ~ The DPS

I agree. Many times I have caught a word or two from an NPC conversation and found myself just standing there listening. More often than not it's very entertaining.

There are quite a few of these moments in this game. You just have to stop and listen. It's part of the charm of ESO.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
I say, "Get a smaller glass."

I always laugh when I'm in Khenarthi's Roost after clearing up the Skooma trade. If you listen the Altmer inspectors are all haughty demanding a place to stay then the Khajit asks if need food too. The inspector sputters a bit and then stammers that he didn't think so. He says Khajiti food is too...too...ethnic.

Wow, that's great. I think the best "wow this is pretty cool" moment for me is when I was just waiting for my girlfriend to get back from afking, and just looking at the sun. Holy cow, the sun shining through the trees just blew me away

I've found two others like that, one was a mage and I believe a summoner arguing about different spells and skills. After a few minutes they asked me which side I chose so I took the mage's side. This made the summoner angry and the conversation took a darker tone after that. The second was an Altmer and Bosmer arguing about the Queen and her stance on the alliance between the Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit. The Altmer was belittling the Bosmer about his "primitive" ways and how the Altmer are too good to be allied with two lower races! As a Khajiit DK I wanted to claw his eyes out but they wouldn't let me! I chose the Bosmer's side and told the Altmer that the Queen was right to ally with the Bosmer and Khajiit!

Yeah you can tell how much loves gone into this game with stuff like that, i feel the same when exploring, like they don't hold back, they definitely were not lazy in creativeness when making this game, it is amazing really

I've encountered both of these, I did remember thinking it was really cool. It totally struck home. I was a summoner and was working of the queen at the time, so I sided more to who I was. As for the situation mentioned with the OP, I dont really remember it. Possible I missed it. Now, I have to go back and find it. =)
