Don't delete your characters. You might wish to come back, at some point. If for no other reason, than nostalgia. There is a chance the game will no longer require a subscription, in the future. So, it would be zero cost to re-visit.

Keep your chars and keep your stuff. You'll never know when you need it.

Thanks guys! I deleted all my extra ones and just selling off my trials gear and all that so I can give the gold to my first guild.

It was loads of fun; just has run its course for me.

Just stop paying, your characters should still be there should you decide to take them up later.

If you want to be sure to never come bdack you should delete your chars. If you, like me, are waiting for the game to pull itself up from the swamp its been sunk in, you keep the chars. I think once the game has all features they talked about having it will be a really great game.

    Keep the characters
you may want to come back!1!

also there is the slight, and personally unwanted, possibility of no sub fee :(

Ive always been against F2P, but with this game i think im ready for giving it a try. I think it would suit this game very well actually. Im holding my thumbs!

Hmm, don't think I've seen one single mmo that's changed from sub to F2P that's remained anything like the same game

Oh, it would be different. The entire focus of the development team of every F2P game is to encourage players to the use the cash shop.

There is no other goal, (balance, storytelling, fun, integrity, honesty all go out the window) and all development efforts are shifted to the cash shop only. I've seen it too many times, and I'd rather play single player games than F2P games, personally. The greed is just too strong.

Sure it would be. They nickel and dime you on stuff.

    1. Want extra dyes? Pay $$
    2. Don't want to spend gold on the all new expensive respecs? $$
    3. Want to change how your char looks? $$
    4. Want the new motifs? $$
    5. New Costumes? $$
    6. More bank space? $$

Basically all those things that you could do in game, and the devs had an incentive to make it accessible, now go behind a pay wall. And while existing stuff wouldn't go away, all the new stuff that could have been, will.

I doubt there is any other goal with games overall other then getting rich by selling it really. its not like its some charity thing they are doing here.

is that any different then now really? now they charge you with 15 bucks/month for promises of upcomming content rather then you pay up straight for it?

the game immediately goes from fun content updates to "look what else is in the store!'

go play any free to play game and tell me how substantial the updates are. You sure as *** won't be getting them monthly.

They have to make money somehow. saying it won't cost you anything is just insane.

Yes if you plan to just get to level 20 or so and piddle around it won't cost you anything if you plan to invest any real time into the game it will cost you a fortune.

Even the most lenient free to play MMOs (not mobas MMOs) change into a series of micro transaction traps instead of an enjoyable experience. Free to play always leaves the player on a budget concerned that the next turn will be a new pay wall for them to have to deal with. It isn't fun.

Omg the most fun is yet to come in this game... I would unsub for now resub after 6 months... It will be different game.. There will be more PVE.
. PVP will a world of different then it is now... I think ZOS is aware that PVE'rs are starting to get bored... Justice system looks very cool :) New PVP areas will be loads of fun ...Just so many changes are coming...

Yeah is all done; deleted my vr12s and vr7, I have 3 lvl whatever they start as chars left as you can only delete 3 a day and game is uninstalled; and allllll my stuff from all chars and bank has been given to friends and my 400kish gold to the GM of my first guild and that's all she wrote!

Maybe some time I come back and play more - but cannot see why or how till there is DB, TG etc.
