I have a VR12 Sorc running 7/7 Light, Resto(Single Target)/Destro(AOE), using Inner Light and Crit Surge to do a lot of damage and self healing in PvE, I am having THE HARDEST time picking sets with these new 1.3 sets, any advice from fellow Sorc Mains?

we lost the magicka flood on warlock for 3 sets so I went everything to boost magicka and crits - 3 soulshine (2 rings and a purty necklace) - night mother and twilight sets - with two weapons both twilight increasing crits - mundus boosts on everything but head chest and legs pieces enchantment boosts on those - monumental magicka glyphs on head chest and legs - thief mundus..

with Mages light I crit around 60%

I'm running a large Magicka pool kind of gear right now.
5 pc Warlock Set and 5 pc Necropotence set. You'll go way beyond the 2.4k magicka cap with this one.

I didn't notice much difference in my survivability since its been kinda easy because of the veteran mob nerf. I'll post again later about my experience with this setup in PVP.

    NA Ebonheart Pact
Cuddles the Tyrant - VR16 Orc Dragon Knight | Little Whirlwind - VR16 High Elf Sorcerer
Boogie Wonderland - VR6 Redguard Templar | Flabby Tabby - Noob Khajiit Nightblade

I prefer to crank up the crits due to the healing bonus from Critical Surge - in a mob an aoe spam keeps you topped off on health. The vet nerf does not apply to craglorn, or dungeons btw.

5 parts warlock, (3 jewelry ofc - change bonuses to spell damage), 4 pieces of Twilight's embrace and... I have my old 2 part's of Willow's for now, but I'm considering Torug's, tho in my opinion the difference will be minimal, so I'll prolly wait for aether set.

You will see on trials, pvp or harder dungeons.

I run with 3 pce. Wise Mage (Aether ) set, 3 pce. Warlock's (jewelry w/ 2 reduce magicka cost enchantments replacing the recovery), 3 pce. Willow's Path and 2 pces Twilight's Embrace. I usually run double destro w/ 1 single target and 1 aoe bar.

I've set up specifically to maximize dps in Trials and VR dungeons. I use Critical Surge as a constant "up" spell so a high crit rating is essential.

    With Resto/Dual Wield:

5 Twilight's Embrace (with one on the staff and one on a sword)
    3/4 Seducer (with one sword)

I might try Night Mother though - crit is nice and I use 5 medium anyway.
