Starting today, ESO not responding to mouse or keyboard

Starting today, ESO will not let me type in my password, nor can I even press the Quit button. (Have to kill using task manager). I've restarted computer, etc. All my other applications recognize the mouse and keyboard. Advice?

    It repaired a couple things, but the problem remains. I rebooted again, unplugged/plugged both mouse and keyboard. The launcher reads my mouse because I can select Play, then no input allowed except for a hand-and-finger icon when I mouse near the login text inputs. Clicking at that time opens the ESO website. Something is very strange. I've been playing almost daily-- this just happened today. I did update my Bitdefender virus protection last night because it gave me Bitdefender advertising popups over my ESO screen. I'll explore that avenue I guess.

    I suggest calling tech support for ESO. Hopefully they'll be able to get you going sooner then other avenues.

    There's a phone link. You put in your number and they'll call you back when it's your turn. When I had a problem I didn't have to wait that long and they were awesome. Most pleasant tech support call I've ever had.

    For the record, I solved the problem by uninstalling Bitdefender 2015 and re-installing the older 2014 version. Bitdefender 2015 also made my Lord of the Rings Online unplayable and I read a forum post where someone said it made WOW unplayable. So beware of Bitdefender 2015 virus protection. I'll choose someone else once my time runs out.

    I would uninstall that POS, and get AD-Aware from LavaSoft. It's the best Anti Virus protection out there and it even has a free version which is just as good (if limited in some of it's functions, it will still scan protect and do what it needs to do for your system).

    I have used AD-Aware for years and never ever had an issue with anything since.

    They found out you pre-ordered the console version and are planning to transfer your account. Give it time, they will come around.
