basic information for PVE focused tank

So I have been reading up on what the “best” build for a DK tank would be for trials and vet dungeons. I know there are many varying thoughts on this but I would like some basic information on what I can do to be an effective tank for our groups. Currently I am aiming for effective health and armor, basically a meat shield. This has caused me to question my build though thinking that I may not be contributing in terms of dps though and with the thought that we are no longer the traditional tanks (meat shields) from other games.

My current stats (and this is from memory, I’m currently at work procrastinating) are just over soft cap on HP and armor (unbuffed) and I can reach soft cap stam regen with green dragons blood. However I have not added any weapon crit (curious to know if this is something I should consider) and my magika is around 1300 with stam around 1600 (both unbuffed). Enchants are 5 HP / 2 Stam on armor. Am I investing too much into health? Should I drop to below HP cap for more stam or magika? These are some questions that I am unsure of and would like advice on. I am not a hardcore person, or looking for time achievs in trials, just to be an effective tank in dungeons and trials.

Thanks in advance and I will check in from time to time today since the boss is out of town and it’s a slow day! :)

Some Overcharge is good, adding to a stat that is overcharged when you have others that are not is not good.

Health is the key, can't stay alive without it. If your wearing Medium Armor, you can run out of Stamina Blocking. I have an Imperial in HA and he does not run out of Stamina Blocking. I don't taunt, so can't talk about that.

What I do, is ignite Sea of Flames, get in the middle of the mob, hold my shield and rotate around dealing out Searing Strikes. Two revolutions, the mob is dead and I still have half my Mana (use enchantments that either reduce spell cost or increase mana regen). Until you get Sea of Flames, you can still do the Block/Searing/Rotate thing. I will use Shield Charge or Invasion morph to get to the mob in question.

Then, if needed, drop the Standard of Might in Boss Battles or when the mob is being just a bit too frolicsome.

I probably don't tank in the traditional sense, and I am sure some MMO Hardcore is going to come on telling me how wrong I am, but it works for me.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

That is one thing that I forgot to mention, I am wearing 5H/2M (trying the medium out to see how that works for now). I'm wondering, though, if I should drop the health to the point that food buff will just put me over charged so that I can spread stam/magika around more with enchants.
