I keep seeing a lot if complaints about how broken this game is due to all the bugs. I have one VR3 character and another Lv30 character and other than falling through the world once or twice I have encountered no game breaking bugs. One quest I didn't receive the correct reward for, I contacted Customer Service in-game and they were great at fixing it up in about 10 minutes. So what is going on that is causing so many people to rage about broken quest?

One broken quest early on, I couldn't interact with an NPC so I cancelled it and took it again with no problems. No performance issues but I don't PvP and haven't reached VR level although I am playing in all three alliance areas. I don't use add ons or Windows 8.

Just a few that instantly come up my mind (some of them are more pvp specific):

    - weapon swap bug
    - keep door bug
    - unusable siege weapons
    - casting through walls
    - health bar bug
    - broken skills
    - broken achievements
    - can't use any skills bug
    - perma invisibility
    - game freezing for multiple seconds
    - game crashing (probably because of memory leak)

Broken quests are usually fixed pretty quickly, so you need to be at a particular place at a bad time to catch those bugs. Complaints are concentrated in the forum, so it looks as if they happen all the time to everyone, but I have only experienced maybe five really broken quests myself, over several months of play. Bugs in this game also seem to be random in nature, in the sense that they don't affect everyone.

Broken quests are certainly not the worst problems with this game, I'd say.

i had some quests/dungeons bug out like npcs not showing up or items not being usable, but all those were fixed by logging out or by trying again in a few days

there was one quest in game that was bugged and wasnt fixed for weeks, however if you put in a gm request they came and ported you over the bugged entryway, usually within 10 min or less.

one other quest couldnt be completed for days, players began to exploit the constant spawning npcs that should have stopped upon completion. by then a ton of glyphs /armor were farmed .

to be honest I havent had any game breaking broken quests or bugs pve side, most seem to impact pvp

I've got a VR4, VR1, and lvl10 char and only had one bug that prevented a boss from spawning. And there were 3 or 4 red "missing" boxes so far. Other than that game works extremely well in PvE as well as PvP.

You mean since the patch? I encounter a couple a day. Problems with weapon swapping, mostly.
Before the patch it wasn't nearly as bad.

I've got a VR3 character, and I only experienced bugs in the begining of the game, but since then everything is going pretty smooth and bugless. I guess they fixed most of them, and the bugs I had weren't game breaking.

The flurry bug. Once every 30 minutes I play my character (on average). Problem is it happens in the middle of combat which is a particularly bad time to reloadui.

Yeah, death makes me cranky. I'm funny like that.

Currently, I am experienceing only one type of bug; data load errors. This happens about hourly, but is not a big deal unless I'm in combat.

I do not consider major LAG issues to be a bug, but others may. Accessing Guild banks can be frustrating as they often don't load! Weapon swap lag and spell lag are a pain. May lag seems to get worse as the number of players around me increases. I avoid PvP. Overall, I can't ride a fast horse as I will quickly ride into an unrendered area, so I walk a lot.

Overall, thing are better tha they used to be; but I wish things were more responsive (less lag).

    This one found many bugs.

    spiders
    centipedes
    beetles
    worms
    butterflies
    fireflies

They did not have any crawlers in them when they were killed. This one was disappointed as this one enjoys catching fish. This one also enjoys taking the guts from rats, frogs and bunnies. This one thinks Sheogorath is playing a trick on her and hiding critter guts in the bellies of scary monsters instead. This one is too afraid to go look for them.

There are obvious bugs and there are also bugs which most people won't notice. There are many passives that still don't work like the tooltip states or don't work, at all. Without actively testing, most people will never know they even experience these type of bugs.

As for obvious bugs, I had a couple just doing hard mode Hel-Ra last time. The gate shut by itself, blocking the progress of half the group which required a full restart of the Trial. One of the boss mechanics requires you to break free, but it wouldn't work without changing the UI (bringing up a menu, hitting enter twice, etc). Doing a weapon swap also changed the display of my armor.... I swapped to my 2nd bar and my armor changed from the light I was wearing to the medium that I had take off before entering (I think this was just a display bug). My crit chance would go up and down by 20%-30% on my character sheet for no apparent reason (also probably a character sheet display bug).

These issues were happening to multiple people.

The most major bug that I had was during launch week. I had to completely skip the 3rd zone because it wouldn't stay up for more than 20 minutes at a time and you would be completely rolled back when it happened.

I started an alt recently and have only run in to 1 major quest bug before I hit VR, so quests have definitely gotten better. Most current bugs revolve around mechanics.

I ran into several bugged quests during the first month or so. I believe all of the particular bugged quests I ran into early on have since been fixed. I also ran into animation bugs that have since been fixed.

After the first month, I don't recall running into any bugs at all, until I started running into the "data load error" bug a few weeks ago. Currently, I encounter that one every couple of days. It's very annoying and inconvenient, but it doesn't make the game unplayable, at least not for me.

All of these plus super speed bug, getting one shot bug, dark cloak bug, bolt escape bug where it uses magicka yet goes nowhere, log on and can't target anything until you relog bug... the list goes on and on.

Game crashes about 2/3 times per week.

Eidetic memory bug, which ironcally forgets that I have read certain ingame books.

Having unlocked certain armor dyes because of achievements I didn't get. (weird)

Fishing bugs where the rare fish don't go in your inventory, but the rubbish fish does.

Freeze frames when riding a horse.

Abilities which are instant cast take seconds to cast.

Being forced to have 10 players in a guild to use the guild heraldry. Play as you like my Altmer butt.

Up until this week the only serious problems were the bank bug and during my first run-through, several of broken quests in Reaper's March (that have since been fixed). For the most part the game has been solid and my Customer Service experience has been fantastic.

The bow bug, swap issues and crashing introduced by this patch have been trying my patience a little, but I know they'll get fixed. I did finally find M'aiq in Coldharbour, so it hasn't all been bad :D
