Boss Spawning Mechanics

djhuff23b14_ESO
So here is a response i received from support when i messaged them about a boss that wasn't spawning in a dungeon.

Greetings again!

Thank you for replying and informing us that Marbita has finally spawned today. As for the reason why it did not spawn yesterday, might just be shear coincidence as there is no report, as of yet, of an issue with this specific NPC.

Like I previously said, sometimes you need to kill the other bosses several times for the other boss to spawn, as I believe it is actually the way the boss spawning system works. If you wish, you can use the /feedback command and give your opinion about this system, as it is, it might need some twinking to avoid situations like yours.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please get back to me and I will do my very best to answer your questions and doubts.

Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding during all of this process.

Warm Regards,
Luis

Pay attention the part where it says you have to fight a boss several times to get another boss to spawn once. DOES THAT MAKE ANY GOD DAMN SENSE TO ANYONE? Seriously, i have to fight an NPC several times to get one to spawn. Its not as if they are all so easy to take down. I just got my arse handed to me by one name Emelin the Returned. I couldn't defeat her once, can't imagine having to do it several times. And that is a solo dungeon. If we have to kill the same NPC multiple times to get 1 NPC to spawn then that tells me that they need to fix their spawning mechanics. There has to be a better way.

I don't know why you're mentioning solo delves in a complaint about public dungeon mechanics.

The reason bosses in public dungeons spawn that way is so that getting the Conqueror achievement for that dungeon is actually pretty difficult. It only affects bosses that aren't required for the group challenge and/or quests. And you should not be able to solo bosses in those unless you're overleveled for the dungeon.

Get leveled up to VR6 to VR12, go back to those lower leveled dungeons and delves and wipe the floor with every boss. You'll get your dungeon achievements in to time. Or group up.

Do a search here, it's always been like that and there are plenty of threads on the subject.

Dungeons can only have a max of 3 or 4 bosses (forgot the exact number) spawned at the same time.

So, if you're camping a boss spawn and there's already 4 other bosses spawned in that dungeon, you'll be waiting until you turned into dust.

You will have to kill other bosses and come back for the one you're looking for frequently as the actual spawn rotation seems to be more or less random.

Usually 2 actually (making it even harder)

Cyrodil Delves also use this system, they often only have 1 up at a time unless there are 5+ bosses.

I had to do the Vile Manor 5 times before I finally got the Achievement. Crimson Cove about the same number of times. I have the Group achievement for Crimson, the non Group achievement for Vile.

However, the Vile Manor, there is a boss right by the Skyshard, and I have only seen him twice and I have been in there more than a dozen times with two of my characters farming loot. It also could be that I don't go to where the Skyshard is each time I go there, as this guy is tucked away in a corner.

Manor is a giant pain because you have to jump down.

Especially if you do so before you get everything the Spinner wants....

But, I do like the Pit, it's fun. I also like watching people at the end looking for a safe way down. The water is deep enough, just pretend your in Acapulco doing the cliff diving.

Doesn't make sense and it's laughable for people to defend it but not unexpected given their history.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?
