Have not been able to play for abput a month because the bloody launcher keeps having problems. Support helped me fix it once (over 20 emails (not an exeggaration) and over 26!!! hours of total reinstall. Once again it's not working. Now it's telling me I am using an outdated client.
I am sick of this.
I don't care about nerfs, bots, bugs, lags, JUST LET ME FRICKING PLAY THE GAME!
If it's not sorted by the next patch I am unsubscribing and resubscribing when/if they fix it. I can love the game to bits, but I am not paying for it if I cannot FRICKING PLAY IT AT ALL!!!!!
So bloody sick of this.
Opened a ticket again, let's see what they say. I am NOT reinstalling it again, that's for sure. THEY NEED TO FIX THEIR BLOODY LAUNCHER.
Sorry for the rant. So bloody sick of this, there's no words for it.

Hang in there, man. You'll fix it. I understand the frustration.

That means that whatever is happening is something specific to your computer's hardware and/or configuration. It doesn't mean that it's your fault, but it's not necessarily something that ZO can fix easily (or entirely on their end). You're just going to have to keep working with them to figure out what it is about your computer that's upsetting the launcher.

Well. People tend to get pretty emotional over their hobbies and recreational activities. Have you seen soccer hooligans?

I have seen enough posts about launcher not working. Just right now there are two more just in the "recent wall, one about a Fatal Error after clicking play, and another, don't remember what about.
My computer is fine, thank you very much, changed absolutely NOTHING on it, and both blizzard and bioware launchers patch perfectly. Even more so, my launcher and game worked perfectly for months, you didn't see me complaining here about anything, did you?

I will never, for the life of me, understand why people take statements about their computers so personally.
You may not have done anything to change your computer (and for all we know, that may be the issue), but something on your end is interacting badly with this launcher program.
Unless you're seeing a huge series of posts about your exact error on the forums, then it isn't widespread enough to be an error on ZO's end. It may be something they can fix, but it's something that's occurring because of a bad interaction with your system. That's why continuing a dialogue with CS is the only way to figure out what could be causing this. This isn't a personal attack against you. Stop treating it as such.

He said he's not having any problems with the launcher - a crash from the game isn't a problem with the launcher.

There's still a significant portion of people who had problems after the recent update.
I had error 210, followed Zenimax advice to fix it, while it did fix it, it insisted on redownloading all 26GB which didnt really bother me as I have an unnlimited download and was home in the day hence could kick it off ant not wortk about the 3 to 4 hrs it took.
But a guildie with a slower connection had a similar problem and at 7pm Wednesday had only managed to download 57%.
In beta there were launcher problems causing the whole thing to download for some, it's now August and it's still happening.
Just got a perfectly noncaring email from customer support.
Question to all: if I unsub , do I lose my character? Or can I regain it if I resub later?
Buy a PC and stop trying to use a MAC for gaming
Let's start with the cause of the problem last time - after all the emails and re-installs, what was it that fixed it? Did anyone manage to establish what the problem was? You say that in the end you just uninstalled and re-installed it, but presumably that didn't take the 26 hours you refer to in relation to the re-installation?
Also, let's see your system specs and running applications.
But please, let's see those things on the Support Forum rather than on General Discussion - not least because you're more likely to get support there.

No, you don't. If you come back later all will be as you left it. MMO developers may give notice that they will clean up their database by wiping unplayed low-level characters but I can't recall when I last saw that happen and it won't be done in a new MMO.
However, that's a drastic step in a game that you're presumably enjoying, or it wouldn't upset you so much. So post all your system and supporting information on the Support Forum and see if people can help you establish what the problem is with the way the game interacts with your computer.

Make sure everything is up to date start with video drivers, then audio drivers, then chip sets and bios.
I have a laptop, its fully up to date with everything. I never had a problem with the game until the 7th of July I think, and I have been playing since EA. All other updaters/launchers work well. No virus, not even moved my laptop, not even an IP address change... every time the problem started, it started after a patch.
