Looking for a workaround (if one exists)

As of this morning my mac EU game hangs at the "area" loading screen. (I get past character select). Been this way for hours.
Not running add ons and the PTS version runs fine. Also have done repair.
If anyone has come across a workaround for this kind of problem please do tell (on the theory that players might suggest a solution as is often the case).

LarrsSoul ShrivenI had this problem too and it's extremely frustrating.
In my case I tried logging a different character and that worked for me.
I logged out and tried the first again and it worked.
ps: This has happened to 2 of my characters and in both instances I have been able to fix it this way.Edited by Larrs on August 7, 2014 8:54AM0 -
Leafmint✭✭It has affected all my toons. Irrespective of which one I pick. It gets to the "area" load screen and then decides not to play with me.
Have gone through the motions of logging a ticket but, being somewhat of a pessimist as far as help desks go (nothing personal Zenimax), I thought to ask here as well.0 -

✭✭There is a file (ZO_Ingame.lua) in "saved variables" directory we used to delete on PCs when we where stuck in loading screens (specially Cyrodill). Dunno if such file exists in MAC, but if it does, you might want to save a copy somewhere in your harddrive & try deleting it before relaunching the client & the game.2 -
istateres✭✭✭✭OK, this is a shot in the dark; but try to create a NEW character. If you can get that to load it might flush out the problems you have. If it doesn't work, well you can delete the new character easily. Nothing ventured nothing gained.0 -
