Heavy Armor Change, viable for PvP?

The problem is heavy armor is useless for a tank when the skirt wearing stick wielder gets enough spell pen to completely ignore the tanks armor.

Yea this is the primary reason not to wear heavy armor. With all the armor it has, it rarely gets touched because almost everything you get hit with will be a spell, and light armor renders spell resist null...

They still need to put a nerf on that trait or else that will never be remedied.

Thing is, when light armor can easily hit soft caps for armor and spell resist with passives and rings, it renders heavy armor pretty usless as you are restricted to the same soft caps. So you don't feel any stronger

Well do as in other games in general, add different soft caps, this heavier, this higher values... this more light you get more penalty to it

Scenario could look like this, keep in mind using fictional numbers.

    Heavy 1000
    Medium 700
    light 400

Yeah I think something like that would work. As you should feel stronger in he heavy, but at the moment most tanks are in light gear.

Heavy does somewhat match the other 2 for regen now (although only when you are getting beat on, all the time) which is nice.
The big deal is still that heavy armor and medium armor have nothing that comes close to being as overpowered as Concentration, namely letting you ignore all the spell resistance of all your opponents.

Either pull heavy and medium armor up to the same power level as light armor or nerf light armor down to the level of the other 2.
