I think it will be a lot clearer if you just use GMT when referring to updates for the EU server. Many european countries use GMT and it will help avoid any mix-ups like this.
(you can still put EDT in brackets if you want...)

The dates were not expressed correctly because of a little mix up in the time-zones. We are updating the forum banner, here is what will happen for the next maintenance :
- For the NA megaserver : August 6th - 8AM EDT (2PM CEST)
- For the EU megaserver : August 6th - 10PM EDT (Which is August 7th - 4AM CEST in Europe)
Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for your never-failing attention to detail!
Or in other words... the EU gets the shaft... again !

I actually like, as a european, that they put stuff on the US server first, then I can sit the night before we get the patch and see what might have gone wrong, and be prepared for it the day after.
We will be conducting maintenance tomorrow (August 6) to deploy a fix for and re-enable the guild system on both the North American and European megaservers.
NA: 8AM EDT (2PM CEST) | EU: 10PM EDT (4AM CEST)
Current time in Europe:

Did you forget to take down the servers? Is it a live hotfix?
Correct info about the date?
Delays?
The reason I ask so harshly is because not just my guild but we are several guilds who interact on a daily bases.
Did you post the wrong time?

Sounds good in theory, except we still get the issues, and still have to wait longer for it to be fixed. Remember you're dealing with a company that didn't move EU servers to EU until 4 months into release.

Guess what will be broken after the patch and then EU get the fix for it?

So this week we will have 3?
We’ve finished testing our fix, and are preparing to apply it to the live servers and restore guild functionality. We’ll be taking both megaservers offline tomorrow (Wednesday) to deploy the fix. Due to this downtime, we won’t be performing maintenance during our regular windows on Thursday.

Just two... Monday to release the update, Wednesday to fix guilds. There is no Thursday maintenance if you read what they wrote and they have not changed it.We’ve finished testing our fix, and are preparing to apply it to the live servers and restore guild functionality. And since the playerbase in europe is at least comparable (numberwise) to the NA one and we do actually pay €12 a month, you dont think a little convenience is in order?
Actually, I dont care how and what americans do - you guys use inches so... really says a lot. When someone that I pay money to wants to make a service UNAVAILABLE to me they better damn start posting in MY timezone - this is how we, the adults, do it.

You want everyone to make considerations for your feelings but won't so the same. Nice
