Undocumented change. Ultimate damage scaling.

Even thou it was announced, it was not included into patch notes.

Ultimate abilitys are now scale with what ever damage you have the most.
This means, that if you have more weapon damage then spell damage, your ultimate damage will depends on weapon damage AND Stamina instead of Magicka.

However, i can forsee a major issue with that.
Since natural spell damage were nerfed quite bit, it is now almost impossible to have more spell damage then weapon damage, since all staves give weapon damage (which is 141 on VR12 crafted staff with Legendary quality) unless you wear alot of spell damage buffing gear or you dont upgrade your staff to Legendary quality.

    If that is True, then Flawless Dawnbreaker going to be awesome.
    It will give a small but needed boost to melee players.

    Lol what ? i'm actualy one of those who w8ed for those weapon\stamina improvements for a long time.

    I just informed other people about those changes.

    If that is True, then Flawless Dawnbreaker going to be awesome.
    It will give a small but needed boost to melee players.

    I dont actualy see any damage increase on that one Ultimate.

    So how is Sorcs Overload scaling now?

    Seems funny, if you are a full Mage, without stamina^^
    Much more funny is it then, if you have 200 weapondamage instead of the 130 Spelldmg, it will hit much to hard than. (If you have enough stamina pool)

    A stamina-caster it will be then ;)

    I dont actualy think so. Ultimate benefit more from stats then from weapon\spell damage.

    Actualy, right now i have 215 weapon damage and 2073 stamina unbuffed. My NB VoB damage is 2 points lower compared to 2k magicka and 139 spell damage.

    well this sucks for me because my weapon damage is always high but my stamina is low :/

    wp-dmg will always be higher than spell-dmg, except you wear a extra weak weapon an push your spell-dmg max.

    This is simply stupid.
    Two weapons or two-handed will always do more damage with ultis than staf or bow ..?

    Why didn't the simply mix the stats for ultis? instead of magicka or stamina, (max Magicka + max Stamina)/2 ?
    Would be so simple, and there would not be imbalances between weapontypes.


    We will see how good or bad this change is very soon^^

    Even thou weapon damage is higher, Ultimate damage scaled with weapon damage and stamina are still abit lower then Spell Damage + Magicka (for me it is +2 damage for VoB with magicka build even when my weapon damage x2 times bigger then spell damage.)

    The reason are simple. After all those changes, all those cost reductions, new items for stamina users, devs forgot and didnt change most important thing:
    All weapon damage and weapons skills are still scale VERY poorly and have just unexplainable low base damage which some times even LOWER then then your weapon damage and light attacks (for me it makes no sense at all).
    Even with all those new items which give alot of weapon damage and stamina, EVERY SINGLE WEAPON skill deal LESS damage then any class skill.
    And i compare it to what class skill damage was BEFORE 1.3.3.
    All the magicka builds are also buffed. You can now have around 200 additional magicka by simply wearing same items you had before patch so your class skills deal even more damage while i dont see any change to weapon skills damage what so ever.

    I have to correct my previous posts:

    They made it the good way :)

    Ultimates are scaling on whatever does more DMG.
    If spell-dmg is better, it uses it, if weapon-dmg is better, it uses that.

    The same with magicka and stamina.

    For me it scales with spell-dmg and magicka, for a guildmate it scales on weapon-dmg and magicka and for a othe guildmate it scales on weapon-dmg and stamina.
