Mo' Inventory, Mo' Problems!

Ok.... I started out keeping ALL the alchemy ingredients in stacks in the bank, & I upgraded my bank & bags a couple times too.

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about... "just another ten spaces, go on!"

And then it just hits me... WHY am I keeping stockpiles of ingredients for potions I don't want?

Good Ingredients only, & suddenly the bank is a nice place to put the next couple things I'd like to research in all my chosen crafts!

Same goes for runes, only the ones that will make glyphs I want get to live in the bank.

Have you made similar rules for what you keep & what you don't?

If you are crafting only for personal use, then your method will work. However, for those of us who craft multiple things for multiple levels of players, we need to have quite an array of materials available to us.

They could solve this problem by simply increasing the stack size of crafting materials from 100 to 500.

I got 4 mule alts with 130 bagspace each just for storing stuff. So far, it's still manageable.

yeah, I always liked the never-ending stack option too...
where it just shows you 100+ & the stack just keeps going & going forever

Nope. Until I hit skill level 50, it's all useful.

Topic continues to irritate some. But, seems fairly obvious that commerce viability in any large scope is not viewed by ZOS to be a goal they have set for crafters in their game unfortunately. The whole 'buy-a-few-more slots here, add-one-more-inventory-slot-there' is glaringly obvious. (*)

I use to be a mat *** hoarder too. I now run alts for each crafting type the problem I run into is with traits. Too many traits, too long to research so they accumulate fast so now If its red I keep it, if its blue I break it. I just don't like to sort or break stuff down constantly.

Normally I just dump everything in the bank then in the morning before work I sign in and break stuff down, start researching, sort, and feed my horses. This way when I get home I can just play.

I do think that stacking is a major issues especially enchanting. I also have a lot of incomplete sets i've been saving for the full set achievement and some for different play styles, but it does add up quickly.

Well, you might want to reconsider deleting any low level provisioning mats. Due to a recent change, high level characters can only farm mats that are Beef level or higher, no mater where the get them from. That means your high level toons cannot currently gather low-level cooking mats for yourself or friends.

Might change again in the future, but for now, it is locked up.
