My guild Da Funk just cleared AA Hardmode only to find that the tier 2 loot is all BOE- Bind on Equip. Why would you make the best raid loot in the game Bind on Equip?

Are you on drugs Zenimax?

All lower-tier armor sets are bind on equip, why should higher-tier equipment be an exception?

Either wear it, or sell it. Those are your two choices.

If the teir two gear is supposed to "look different" than normal gear, it should be bound... otherwise people can just buy the look. It should be unique to those who EARNED it.

Awesome maybe if you want to PAY to WIN. It is meaningless for people who actually put in the effort to push new content. Raid loot in most games is BOP exactly for this reason.

Let's say I bought BOE trial gear from somebody that ran trials for 50k (no clue if that's what they're going for, just an example number.) I still earned that gear by earning the gold I used to pay for it. Just because I didn't run trials to get it doesn't mean I didn't earn it. I might have crafted my ass off for a week to get the gold to buy it.

Honestly, I'm all for BOE trial gear. It allows people to earn trial gear through gameplay that isn't running trials over and over, and gives those who do run trials a way to make good gold. It's no different than me, a PVEer, buying PVP gear from a PVPer.

Cause so far, we don't raid 'like that here'. Talk to ZOS about it. Along with a lot of others unfortunately. You know - PvE Raider-hate and all that. Its 'different' here, heh. B)

Also, it's kind of disappointing that there is no achievement or leader board for this. Basically, this is pointless at the moment...

I guess he has issues with people not running trials getting the same gear using coins.

I don't care personally. The gear isn't that much better than the T1 version. The actual armour is useless in PvP due to garbage traits, so you're hardly getting any advantages over other players.

But of course, I can still see the problem with the highest tier gear being farmed and sold for coins. I think the ESO economy can do without that.

It also removes some of the incentives when it comes to completing trials HM. Not gonna lie, I don't enjoy trials, to much repetitive dps-racing. If I can just buy the T2 stuff I want, I probably wont go in there at all (unless there's some HM dye achievement I cant resist).

The only players who care or even look at leaderboards, are the players on the leaderboards.

I see players like this with the "look at me, look what I did!" mentality all the time on COD games. They can't help but start off each match with the /rank! inquiry to let everyone know their rank on that server. And do you know how many other players care about what you just achieved?

    Zero.

Then please explain to me why I kept getting tells asking to join the guild during the time we had #1 on Hel Ra? I don't understand why you are so bitter... oh wait.

Birds of a feather flock together. And no, I'm not bitter. I don't care one way or the other what anyone does in this game. I play for my own entertainment, and don't give a rip what I, or anyone else, have achieved.

Im not in a hardcore guild. I havent even cleared normal mode AA, but hard to get items should be BoP.
Effort should be rewarded, you shouldnt be able to just buy it from shop.
Boasting is a part of mmorpgs, and something i support.

I hope that Zenimax ensures there is still a significant amount of BOP rewards in ESO. There are two types of rewards, I feel:
    1. Rewards that signify a specific accomplishment
    2. Rewards that signify accomplishment in general

It's okay to have some rewards that are the latter, like the BOE gear here (where you can earn it either through doing the content or buying it from another player for high sums of gold), as long as there are also rewards in the game that are BOP and can only be acquired one way. It is important to the MMORPG reward structure that there are true prestige items that cannot simply be bought for gold. Farming gold is a time-based accomplishment, not a skill-based one like defeating a hard mode trial boss.

As long as there's a mixture of both types of rewards I'm fine with it, but I don't want ESO to become a game where you can get all the rewards just by farming gold.

In contrast, there are a number of players that ask for the ability to turn leaderboard notifications off all together.

To those that are worried their achievements will be rendered worthless by people who "just paid gold to get it", consider this: Sets acquired from PVP are all BoE, like the new Trial gear.

    These sets both have:
    • A unique style only found on that gear.
    • Unique set bonuses.

These sets are bought and sold at high prices by players of all styles, and it seems like the majority's okay with this. Why not the same for gear from trials? Both are rewards for a style of play.

    Logged in after work.
Went to Craglorn - 1 min
    Typed,"LFG AA" (didnt link achiev)
    Got invited - 5-10min
    Completed AA - 30min

    Big achievement there....

    This is wrong.
ALL this loot should be bind on pickup. You need to be bloody there to earn the right to wear em.

Something many, many AH buyers never understood.....Why cant they just buy their gear for gold? Sigh.

    Make it bind on pickup.

I'm not sure what the fuss is all about honestly.

Now guilds who spam hard trials can sell off excess gear they probably won't use which in turn can fund future guild houses and whatnot. Furthermore, the common guy who has gold but doesn't have access to a high end guild can purchase gear. Win win really.

I hope it stays that way. I have zero desire to grind gear doing same content over and over. Had enough of this in STO. I'd prefer to just buy these items and those who like to turn their game into a job will have a good source of gold so like @The_Sadist said: it's a win-win.

So if i got it correct, the only thing that changed on tier2 trial items, is that there are stronger enchants on them ?
At the same time, those enchants are not always what you want to see, like Health on Light Armor items.
Jewerly have have only their traits improved by 3 points. (81 points of stat instead of 78). They remain epic quality at the same time.

    Set bonuses remain the same.

The only nice change is that those items can now be sold atlast, so you dont have to spend infinite time grinding Trials to get those items.
For example, i made over 50 trials runs, and got just 1 light armor piece while i had several full sets of heavy and medium which i dont realy need.

P.S. Now try to remember how many of those dublicate trial items you have deconed and cry for all the gold you lost :D

    I somewhat agree.
But imho, even thou trial gear become better it is still not worthy to be exclusive.

I would rather see some point system implemented into Vet dungeons and Trials like PVP points.
Those points should be gained to killing bossess, completing full dungeon\trial and some random tasks applied to your group when entering which come from a static pool of tasks like kill some boss w/o deaths, complete faster then xx:xx e.t.c.
You then use those points to buy some realy great gear which is better then even Tier 2 trial items but it can not be sold.
