Post 1.3 Update - Shields Can't be Dyed?

The Point-3 update and patch came out today and I'm not saying that anyone has said that shields would be capable of accepting dye, but it appears that they are not.
So just making sure, shields are not capable of accepting dyes at this time?
Are there any plans on making them work with the dye system?
