On the PTS, where is the amour dye station in Davons watch?? its driving me nuts trying to find it lol

they're not even placed in meaningful hubs like the first and last zones of the faction. I have no idea where yours is, I went to craglorn to belkarth. I checked Velyn Harbor and Rawl'kha and nothing. I would have thought the final zone in each faction, where everyone buys and sells would be a logical place to put a dye station. Instead it just seems like they threw some darts at a map.

My friend is doing this, not me, im happy enough to wait for the patch, but shes asking as shes level 3, and done a new char for the PTS server, and started in Davons Watch, where the amour dye station is, any ideas where this damned place is, for my own peace of mind, and to save her ranking up or travelling around Tamriel to find it and test it out lol

for pts don't make a new character, make a trials character covenant faction (I think that's the only faction you can use and it has to be a covenant race)
when you are done you will log into belkarth and will have a bunch of armor packs you can unpack with leather, cloth, plate, all trials stuff.
How do you get ur character to high levels to test out armour dyes ?
smeeprocketnub19_ESO wrote: »How do you get ur character to high levels to test out armour dyes ?
trial character starts at vr12 but you get absolutely no achievements outside of leveling etc, so you really just don't get to test colors.
It seems like most *** they can't be bothered to get player input on. Anyone who wanted to test the dropped set changes had to farm the pieces afaik.

Thank you for the response, but she is unable to create a character thats Vr12, it always seems to be a level 3 character constantly, so completely unsure of how to access this or even to get remotely near the armour dyes

okay, if she goes through the regular character creation process it will be a level 3 character.
on the top left of the screen in the character creation page (click create character first) you will see a dropdown menu that says none.
select trial testing template (only other option)
from what I can tell, you can only use DC races.

You can kind of see the metal underneath but it's not fighting with any color the metal might have had originally.
Her leather looks brown with a grey-white wash.
That's ugly to me but it would be preferable to fuchsia with a greenish-grey wash.

This can't be a saturation issue, my sorc's armor went from dark grey-blue to newbie green.

Lol I can imagine, I dont know if it would make a difference, but if you use Nvidia, you can use in nvidia settings, digital vibrance to change the saturation of the appearance of stuff, but it does depend on how the game actually looks, then sharpening and tinting it more so, haha.

On plate, from what I can tell, the dyes look great.
On cloth and leather, they are a wash, and sometimes don't even come out as the right color. On my leather, my skyshard blue is light green.
Also, all the armor got changed, so now, my nice dunmer level 14 homespun outfit on my alt went from a very nice darkish blue grey and tan to that hideous newbie green. The green I had been avoiding desperately.
Only, I can't avoid it because I'm really just tinting leather and cloth. So I don't actually look good in anything unless I just want to wear heavy armor.
Oh, and my leather itself, it's fuchsia. It comes that way now. So I am putting a wash over fuchsia leather. It's almost pink really. I had to go with ruby throne red which I inexplicably have access to, because red is the only thing that works to wash out the fuchsia, anything else turns into green tints or purple.
I complained about this before, but there is also only one white in the entire system. Juliasnos white for trials. Every other white is a grey or light pink or light blue. I am staring at some people in julianos white on trial gear and it looks very white, probably because they are wearing plate.
I don't care about black, I want to wear white. I want to actually have a reason to dye my armor other than hiding the ugly that it has become.

Today's patch did mention gradients or something we can adjust in our Settings...won't change how OTHERS SEE YOU lol, but will change it on your system a "tad"...maybe.
