I love ESO. I've been playing since its launch and I love all the weapons.
However, there is one weapon that is absent that should be included...and that is guns. Now, let me explain why I think it would be a good idea:
Cannons were used back in medieval times. Cannons are a type of gun. Cannons were basically the choice of most medieval-era armies.
ESO is set back in medieval times, right? And so is Warhammer Fantasy Battle? Warhammer has cannon and primitive gunpowder weapons. So therefore, if cannons were used and they are a type of gun, why not includes guns?
Now, I completely understand that the Dwemer were likely the best people to introduce guns, but that doesn't matter. I have a good general layout:
Guns would have a 30 meter range, but cannot be fired at targets within 5 meters of you. Guns will require 3 seconds to reload. However, it deals increased firepower than a bow.
Active Abilities
Ability 1: Headshot
Cast Time: 2 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability headshots your enemies, dealing increased damage.
Morph 1: Empowered Shot
This morph will deal even more damage if your target has more health than you do.
Morph 2: Bleeding Shot
This morph adds a Damage Over Time effect.
Ability 2: Multi-Shot
Cast Time: 3 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability will hit 2 targets instead of one, but it will deal less damage to the second target.
Morph 1: Scatter Shot
This morph will hit an additional target, dealing the same damage as the second target.
Morph 2: Precision Shots
This morph will deal the same damage to the second target as it will to the first target.
Ability 3: Fireshot
Cast Time: 2 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability will hit a target will deal damage over time.
Morph 1: Searing Shot
This morph will increase the damage and increase the time.
Morph 2: Purifying Fireshot
This morph will heal you for 20% of the damage done.
Ability 4: Iceshot
Cast time: 2 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability will hit a target and freeze the target in place for 3 seconds.
Morph 1: Frozenshot
This morph will freeze the target longer.
Morph 2: Windchill
This morph will deal damage over time.
Ability 5: Volley
Cast time: 3 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability fires a hail of shot in a wide cone.
Morph 1: Increased Distance
This morph will increase the cone length slightly, allowing targets further away to be hit as well.
Morph 2: Sharp Objects
This morph will increase the damage.
Ultimate: Area Shot
Cast time: 2 sec
Range: 5-30 meters
This ability fires a spread of shot in a designated area. The shots deal more damage as you gain more Ultimate charge.
Morph 1: Spreadshot
This morph will increase the radius of the circle slightly and will slightly increase the damage.
Morph 2: Piercing shot
This morph will ignore a portion of the targets armor.
Passives
Passive 1: Sneak Attack
This passive will deal increased damage if you are crouched down and hidden.
Passive 2: Range Increase
Increases the maximum range slightly.
Passive 3: Quick Shots
This will reduce the reloading time slightly, allowing you to attack faster.
Passive 4: Free Shot
You will have a chance upon landing a critical hit of firing an instantaneous shot at the same target.
Passive 5: Gun Lance
This will attach a small spike to the gun, which will deal damage to a target you are facing when he gets into melee range. However, this will only deal the equivalent of 50% of the damage from your one-handed melee weapon...or 30% of the damage if it is two-handed.
Thus concludes my suggestion to guns.
