Here's an idea: for each character you get to VR1 you get a new character slot unlocked.

If someone wants to spend the time and effort to get character after character up to VR1, then why not let them have more and more characters? What's the down side?AlexDougherty wrote: »

I'm hoping we will see more character slots unlocked, especially if they decide to add more classes or something like that, but I should definitely hope that they're not purchasable. This is a subscription-based game, thus new character slots should come along with the subscription.
But I would also like to know if more character slots are potentially on the way.I am also an altaholic.

I don't get this attitude to be honest. If players want to buy more slots and ZOS sell them more slots to meet this demand, then we all benefit from the extra income available to spend on design and development.

Maybe it's my age showing, but I come from a time when a subscription meant that there were no microtransactions, and I'm clinging to it tightly for now. I get the idea of "more money spent = more income for development" but I just...it's a slippery slope, in my opinion. It's a personal thing, and right now my mind isn't open to changing about it. If you're going to charge me a subscription, that should mean I have access to all content during my subscription period. It doesn't seem right to charge me a subscription, and then put up new content behind paywalls. And more character slots is definitely content that shouldn't be behind a paywall in my opinion. Otherwise let's just make it all microtransactions, thanks.
Edit to point out that this is not me complaining about the Steam thing, this is just my opinion on microtransactions + subscription models for MMOs.

But you would still have access to everything. More of something is just more, it isn't 'new' content.
I get the resistance to change, though I do believe it is expectation (derived from our first MMOs) and not age that makes us this way. My first MMO didn't charge for expansions, they were part of the sub, so there was no way I would play EQ2 or WoW, who wanted to sub you and charge for new content. Outrageous!
better decrease character slots down to 2-4.
to remove/decrease abuse lovers with hirellings, spies, bots.
better for already destroyed economy
