What is this all about? I have been logging in from the same computer since I started playing this game, why am I getting this error?

There is another thread on this. One issue may be if you do not have a static IP. You may want to check this first to determine if this is the issue or something else.

I also have a cable modem and I have a dynamic ISP
For example: Time Warner Cable uses dynamic isp and they are a rather large cable/internet provider.Edited by kassandratheclericb14_ESO on August 3, 2014 4:25PM0 -

Armianlee✭✭✭@Azalin76 While it is true most cable modems are technically static, if you've had a power outage in your area or reset your modem it is possible for the IP to change. More so for the former than the latter; resetting won't normally change it except in the rarest cases.
That said, I do not think it is wholly based on IP. If I change my PC's name for example it asks me to re-verify. (I change my laptops name frequently, not so much my desktop) I also recently changed out my RAM and it asked me to re-verify... So, that leads me to believe that multiple factors are checked and verified when the game starts.Edited by Armianlee on August 3, 2014 5:06PMBasic circle of complaints on ESO Forums:

I had the same problem and had to put in a passcode everytime from my email well how I fixed it was on the login screen theres a lock and a house you have to click on the house and make it your home0 -
