Yea I'm not sure who is spying on DC for EP on Wabbajack, using a DC toon and telegraphing our FC locations to EP, but it's got to stop it's not cool dude. You know who you are, and pvp isn't for RP so if you think you're doing some sort of covert ops, all you're doing is giving a dishonest advantage to an opposing faction.

I have seen several AD and DC spies in EP, and they wait for everyone to come up on you stealthed... and use Healing Springs to give up the location. Or they rally 50 zerglings to a suicide farm where they get farmed for AP.

My fear is that Spies will start buying accounts so they can have high level characters in the victim faction, and that they can easily run multiple computers, laptops or cheat multi-boxing to run their main account while watching the others very closely without having to log swap.

I think they would do this mainly to sabotage an alliance population representation, and I think it already happens to some degree.

Yes it sucks unfortunately all I can say is that all the factions do this and worse (such as placing useless FC's in such a position that the "real" players of that faction cant put down a useful FC).
Unfortunately I cant think of a single thing that would stop this.

Easy. Make FC's specific to guild command structure and not viewable by pubs. Additionally siege equipment and FC's should have a "claim abandoned" equipment option. Once equipment goes unused for five minutes or more it can be claimed by anyone in the alliance. Guild FC's could only be claimed by guildies but don't interfere with standard FC placement.

Only way this works though is if Blood Porting is killed as a viable tactic. Make the FC sphere of influence much smaller and limit spawns to those that were killed within the area.

Interesting idea, viz. Perhaps FC only seen by those in group with person who put down the camp for limited time period, 5 minutes. Afterward anyone on map could see. Would encourage more grouping and limit telegraphing.

I don't like the spy thing either and echo that I've seen it seemingly done by DC and EP...of course I'm AD. I wouldn't be so blind as to say it doesn't exist in any AD campaign, foolish assumption. Most vivid examples were DC on Auriel's Bow. Easy for any of us to point fingers, be great though to be able to limit some of this stuff.

we know a few scumbag spies on dc. most people won't help them when they get zerged, won't rezz them, and most will laugh and jump on their corpse when they are dead. that's one way to treat low life clowns like this.

lol that would require 2 things, dying, and being near zergers, neither of which happens often.

i dont think i have ever wanted a rez from a zerger, jussayin.

and fyi, real spies wouldnt be out pvping, they would be sitting at the gate, but thats just logic.

real spies can't spy properly if they hang at a gate. LOL! wow we are a little slow today. If you aren't dying, you are leaching. JUST SAYING!

by the way, you are the first person i have seen that put someone on ignore ingame, then turn around and whine at them on the forum for days.

Lol, we don't know how much AP anyone makes a night, so that's a laugh. Given your arrogance I doubt you play well at all. Boastful types usually suck. Decent ones find no need to brag. I am no uber player. I pride myself on my trolling and cybering skills.
So post your uber pvp accomplishments on moms fridge. I'm sure she cares! Lol just lol. You aren't on ignore. I enjoy watching you whine about zergs in an open world pvp game.

apparently you havent seen the zerg bombing videos and gvg videos my guild puts out, theres been about 10 so far, half of them are in the video thread on this same page.

notice the "good" smallmans we gvg against like fire shots group... notice that they arent zerging, and are thus more skilled? its not rocket science.

feel free to have a look, you could learn a thing or two

and no, i still wont sign your mousepad

This is just flat out wrong. I've encountered lowbei's duo with some pactards who gave up the fight. One of the best sorcs I've seen, he actually knows how to keep up a running fight.

Yea I never meant for any rage against eachother in this lol. I, personally, would not want a dishonest advantage gained through dishonest information. Simply put, I feel that part of the problem is that guilds are cross-faction making it easier to telegraph information; and the other part is that FCs are displayed on the map to and usable by anyone in the faction. If one or both of these things were changed, pvp would become more about coordination and skill and less about spying. People can quote sun tzu's art of war all they want and reiterate the old quote "All's fair in love and war." It doesn't change the fact this is a game. In real life, these things apply. Wars aren't fought for entertainment, they are fought to win. In a game, we fight for entertainment. I feel my experience is cheapened if I am the victim of telegraphing, and have not been a part of receiving such information nor do I seek it, because again, I want pvp to be about skill and battle tactics not underhanded information gained dishonestly. Do people honestly feel they need to win so badly that they would do in a game what cannot actually be done in real life (that is, not be accused of treason and executed by their own faction - this game does not allow that)?

Dear OP, if there is really somebody spying on your faction, all you will achieve with your posting is that he now will laugh his ass off. What do you think will happen, if he reads this? That suddenly his moral conciousness kicks in and he will change his behaviour? Or he will be afraid that he will go to hell for that?

Yea I don't think I could care any less of what some random person on the internet's opinion is of me or if their sense of humor dictates that this thread is humorous. The point of it was to find out if other people felt similarly to me on the subject and that if any people are doing it for RP entertainment, to appeal to their sense of reason to stop, citing why it isn't cool and even close to giving an accurate RP feel to spying.

    im bad, but thanks.

my point wasnt so much to brag, but to point out that zerging does not increase skill level, ever.

It was like this when I first started. I went to Auriel's Bow and AD had the entire map mopped up. This drove other factions to become disinterested, which in turn caused no pvp to happen there. Check out esostats.com and see where the action is at. Set your campaigns to servers where the various alliance are a bit closer in power structure. For me, it was Wabbajack (before the mergers).
