Do people actually think people want to flock to that colour. What you'll see mostly are the actual good colours, gold, black, greys, red, blues, browns, greens. For armour those are the most popular colours. Rarely will you see link Jesus Christ you people.
Just because people can customize their armour doesn't mean they'll choose the most ugly colour available. People generally want to look badass in these games so they'll have colours to express it
I think the technical answer is that shields are considered weapons and not armour, but I agree that it would be good to be able to dye shields, and I think they have said they may look into that.smeeprocketnub19_ESO wrote: »yea I do not understand the shield thing at all. Nope, shields are armour, they are stored in the Armour section of your inventory, hence people's confusion.
It's a question about dyes and I apologize beforehand if this has already been asked/covered but I just wanted to make sure.
Is it possible that I'll be able to dye ALL of my equipment bright pink? I ask because I think it would be quite humorous on my Argonian.
Bonus points for glitter (Hint, hint Zeni).

Do you know if you can place like a Guild Emblem over the shield and dye that?
Incredible, so much whining and butthurt over armour colours. Is it REALLY going to ruin your game ?
I'm glad they decided to make Pink tied to fishing. You therefore must suffer greatly for many hours in boredom, to earn the right to abuse my retinas. You can only look like your wearing a teenage harijuku girl outfit, if you suffer enough to earn it. I can accept that...but don't expect a rez...or a party invite. Nothing personal, but if I don't absolutely have to look at it I won't.
I will enjoy my earthy tones and rustic colors to look as a tough old self respecting Dunmer should, and you can enjoy your bright and flashy colors to prance about like frilly magical glitter unicorn.

This is what I believe will start happening, but unfortunately it will be a double-edged sword. There will undoubtedly be players who morph into the pink power ranger, but there will also be those who just want to customize their character to be similar to themselves, which may involve colors that others may observe to be "out of the norm" for ES. If players however simply want to look as ridiculous as possible, they shouldn't be surprised if others start separating themselves from them. Personally I don't really see too much of a difference between an *** in bright pink and an *** who makes a short fat Bosmer with a mohawk and curly mustache...they both look ridiculous.

right because Bosmer's would never be fat, and most definitely not short lol

I never said anything about it being "immersion killing" or that it is against the lore...but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous

choice of hairstyles aside (and I don't think mohawks are ridiculous for bosmers, though facial hair on elves seems weird to me and the combo is somewhat of a faux paus) bosmers are supposed to be short, and I don't see why they wouldn't be able to gain excess weight.
You can't really be super fat in this game anyway. I have an orc that is as big as possible except in height and my khajiit is as big as possible in everything but the gut and neither looks even overweight.
I do however like that you can add weight to your character in general.

Agreed (especially about the facial hair on elves), I was just trying to think of the most eyebrow raising oddity of a character I could and short and fat came to mind...and I also like making fun of Bosmer's. I'm still working on my first cup of coffee, but maybe a skinny, long straight-haired Orc with the same mustache would work better (I never understood that hairstyle appearing on Orcs).
The point I was trying to make is there are already systems in place to make absurd characters, while they may not seem as odd as an Argonian in pink armor, there are many players in the world already that seem to have been stricken with a touch of Sheogorath.
It's a question about dyes and I apologize beforehand if this has already been asked/covered but I just wanted to make sure.

Alright, so far it seems me sporting pink is going to be quite unpopular, but I've decided to continue with my original plan, I'm sorry guys but it's just too good to give up. I'm sure you'll change your minds when you find it just as funny as I do.
