Gold Sinks for the future of ESO

They will be spending the next six months, or so, getting dyes to work properly. Then the next year or so getting the new VR content working properly. Then, the Consoles. Who knows when they will ever get to any expanded features, if ever.

I concur, you will need a LOT more gold sinks or gold itself becomes meaningless after you get to a certain amount.

Once you have all the motifs and max bank space (240) and max inv (110) and maxed a few horses (one for speed, one for inv space, and another just for the colour)

Then you start to build up some gold. Once you have all gold armor (buying the parts)....... Then I guess you have currently run out of gold sinks.

Which is good as the gold sellers have moved onto other games.

But I am sure the next lot of horse will be insane priced and in-game pets will cost tons.

no we won't, because people don't have the money for the goldsinks lol. That's why people were buying gold to begin with.

I don't know about you guys but I got the majority of my money from running around in Cyrodiil. After the last campaign ended I got like >50k from my reward tier.

Given the amount of time it's likely going to take to even put such things as gold sinks in place, you have plenty of time to amass an adequate amount of fundage.

Sure, if they put gold sinks in tomorrow the majority of us honest players (IE non gold buying) would be screwed but when the hell have they ever just BOOM SURPRISE NEW CONTENT NO WARNING DEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAL WITH IT!?

This. Have been playing since early release, and still haven't been able to afford a horse.

A 'gold sink' is typically something you don't have to buy but can to make your life better.

I love all of the OP's ideas, and I hope Zeni implements stuff like it.
I think it should be noted that we probably won't see any followers like we're used to seeing in the single-player Elder Scrolls games, simply because it's an MMO... the other players ARE our followers.
Don't get me wrong, I'd loves me my minions, but I won't hold my breath for them in ESO. For everything else mentioned though... Yes, if I thought it would help, I would suffocate myself for them.

Not really.

If people stop buying gold, the gold sellers go out of business.
If the company continues cracking down on gold sellers, the gold sellers go out of business.

25k is very cheap for a house, considering a horse is 42k. I would expect houses to be at the very least 100k or since the cheapest horse is 17k, maybe the cheapest house could be 50k for a tiny 1 room cabin.
