My personal belief is that many - not all, but many - of the people who hate PvP do so because they suck at PvP. And, they're often offended/agitated/angered when killed by a human player.
I was once one of these people. Until the start of ESO in fact. And now I love it, though I still suck.
So why do I love it? A number of reasons:
1. It's made me a much better, more effective PvE player. I quickly realized how crappy my build was in PvP against human players. After fine-tuning based on advice/vids/posts from PvPers I improved significantly in both PvP and PvE.
2. It's much more satisfying to take down a human player vs an NPC, especially when the opponent is much higher ranked/leveled. It feels like more of a challenge - most NPCs are easy. Too easy IMHO.
3. I quickly learned to put aside my anger at dying and simply chalk it up to experience. There is very, very little downside to dying in PvP - your armor doesn't degrade - so go there to practice (against other players). Not getting upset when killed by another player was the single biggest driver of my enjoyment in PvP. That coupled with the realization that you really will do better in PvP once you reach VR1 and beyond. Next time you PvP and die, I recommend you see the funny side of the death. I often laugh out loud when I'm face-stomped: I find it hilarious. And then just respawn and try again.
4. Unlike PvE, PvP is unpredictable - due to the human element. Sure, the map is static, but the unpredictable nature of human interaction and ensuing battles makes it exciting. At least to me.

Now now now, lets stop brown nosing zos and actually take a look at why PVP does suck.
1. Crashing. Cyrodiil was created and is being run on a potato. People constantly crash in the middle of combat. (sorry fan boys this has been confirmed by zos that the client is trash. so no denying.) Nothing like having to miss out on thousands of alliance points ticks.
2. Players not showing up on screen. happens all the time. again fan boys confirmed by zos.
3. Unbreakable roots and stuns that are so incredibly exploited and abused I almost want to call guiness.
4. lag. I love lag! doesn't everyone!
5. unresponsive skills. I press a skill, nothing happens. I try to change weapons, nothing happens. its pure awesomeness.
6. blocking while casting. I can't sprint and fire off weapons and skills but i can hold block and spam cast. good call zos. wonder what would happen if they disabled the action bars while you are blocking. The cry of outrage would break the forums.
7. How about those god *** people who use up your camps and don't replace them? huh? huh? am I right?
You can't deny that this game's PVP has serious issues that are completely unacceptable and are a huge reason why (among many many other reasons) that people are walking away. 11 days left on my sub. going back to eve. Where real pvp'ers roam.

Who exactly is he brown nosing in his post? His whole post is very generic in the sense it could apply to any pvp any where. Except the line where he says I was on of those people until eso. Which if you read it, still isn't brown nosing.
You then go on to list a bunch of reasons you don't like the pvp here. None of them have anything to do with what the OP posted, which was basically pvpers are mean so I don't like pvp.
I guess since you didn't list personality disorders as one of the reasons pvp sucks, you actually agree with said brown noser. Which I guess is sort of amusing.

Hahahaha I'm not sure if you are confused or if the read was just a little to much for you. Who is he brown nosing? ZOS. thats who. his post states "Until the start of ESO in fact. And now I love it." so a simpler breakdown for you would be he loves the PVP content that zos has created in THEIR video game elders scrolls online. Then he goes on to say "so why do I love it? a number of reasons." So his post is not at all generic its very specific to ESO pvp. Which if YOU had read it, is considered brown nosing.
So how a discussion usually works is there is a "topic" and then you "discuss" your opinion of said "topic." The topic here for this thread is "the official I hate pvp thread" So naturally ( I'm hoping ) you can see why me responding to the thread topic with reasons why "I hate pvp" is valid.
HAHAHA so again I'm not sure if you are confused or if the read was just too much for you. The original poster is named Alien Diplomat, the poster of "said brown noser" is Katkon. (those are 2 different people if you didn't make that connection). also, wouldn't it be if I did agree to the personality disorders i would of listed it? One thing for sure that is amusing. your reading skills.

Good post. I think you hit on two important issues:I'm another former PvE-only player who made the switch to PvP-primary. For me, that was a while back (Warhammer Online launch). I've enjoyed MMO's quite a bit more since
- PvP can be a shock for PvE players when they start, and an unpleasant one. In PvE, you expect to win all your fights. In PvP, winning half of them is pretty good. The goalposts have moved quite dramatically.
- Those losses are how you learn. If you have an instinct to re-examine just what the heck happened, you can often adjust something in your build or behavior. Oddly, many people who are excellent about this in endgame PvE somehow lose that mindset in PvP.
