snipe/vanish/snipe/vanish, rinse, repeat?
Just started a NB for the vanish ability, not got snipe from bow yet, but was wondering, snipe is 2 sec cast and vanish 2.5 secs, is it possible to crouch/snipe/vanish/snipe/vanish/snipe...with out ever being visible? Currently i can at lvl 12 do crouch/heavy bow/posion arrow/vanish, and still be invisible while i heavy bow/posion arrow/vanish all over again and the mob never comes for me. Wondering if this works for snipe?

nvsg✭✭✭yes it does I use it all the time and when you get the last passive in shadow to 2 it raises the seconds to 2.9 secs so planty of time to cast it0 -

✭✭Sure, until the other player charges and stuns you, and you realise that shadow cloak is extremely unreliable to actually work in pvp.2 -

✭It might seem OP in 0-50 levels, and while you might be able to one shot an NPC with snipe, you try that with a VR12 DK in Cyrodiil and see how you fare. He'll laugh at you.
Cloak is not so 'cloaking' in PvP. Trust me on this
Snipe won't seem OP at all in Cyrodiil either. It's handy in defending a keep, it's handy when taking a resources and you want pop the tower mage before moving onto the flag. But that's about it in regards to the usefulness of snipe in PvP.Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...1 -
Obscure✭✭✭✭✭Yeah it works, and it hurts like a mother ***er. Took a shot just yesterday that dropped me to 5% from a single snipe. Had I not put so many points into stamina on my horse (42 stam worth every point) and managed to stay mounted and ride off I would've been extremely dead after a second shot.
Land the first shot from stealth for your sneak damage multiplier. Restealth after the shot with Vanish to conceal yourself for the second shot and collect your AP. For best results use it on a mounted target and pray they don't have a stamina mount. The dismounted CC is not breakable and they'll be wide open for death from afar.2 -

✭I've ran the eagle eye set before (my yellow bow is dominion with 98 unresistant damage, and and an extra 4 meters range with three pieces which I had at the time) and even then, when a DK runs in your direction the charges, it's over pretty quickly.
Snipe on a fast moving character which hits like a freight train and that can get you quickly is pretty useless. On the the other hand, in a keep or when the terrain is in your favor, then yeah it's good, albeit slow.

I imagine this would be a good trick on enemy players operation sieges? Like when the is an enemy line, kinda sneek behind and snipe them one by one, i figure u cant easy see behind u, and takes time to quite out of operating siege, any one tried this? I know there are rogue types that sneak up and burn them then vanish which is very annoying lol0

Okay so what you and a few others are saying is that snipe is only good while sitting on a wall or ganking mounted people...
Cool. I could also just Ambush/Soul Harvest them off their mount into the dirt.
I am sure it is fun to snipe gank people and lowbies. My comments are more directed toward the combat theory of repeating snipe/cloak, which wouldn't work at all against players who have remotely any pvp knowledge.

Chill out just saying that u cant actually charge that, or jump it at 40m snipe is the largest range in game so just saying at 40m its impossible.
on another note, heavy armor is bad for stam regen, but given the stam regen NB get in passives and then from 2h passive would this be an actual viable 2h full heavy full stam,and regen build?0 -

Yes but it is matched only with its amazing bore factor.
I don't blame you mind, since i never once seen a successful night blade do anything else but unstealth with bow and then stealth again.
Try anything else with your nb in cryodiil and it's good night. Especially your melee attack rofl, because if your opponent knows how to press left mouse block button then there's high chance you will lose the encounter.0 -

✭I stopped using my bow in pvp in favour of more assault/support skills because, while snipe is certainly useful in some situations, it's somewhat limited. Poison arrow has its uses too, and is a lot of fun. It's just not as OP as you'd think.Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.0 -

in only lvl 12 atm and it does drain lot magika atm but i was thinking with all the stam regen Nb gets i might wear all light, soft cap on stam and magika, also the is something down the line with has a chance to restore magika and stam for all abilities once morphed, it says the penalty is reduction in light and heavy attacks but wondered if that penalty applied to all abilities? The tool tip doesn't say so.0 -

yea you will learn to depend on leeching strikes. I don't know why we take such a hefty penalty for it. It's stupid.
Unless you really want to play that way, I wouldn't worry too much about stamina, you aren't going to get any really good abilities that need it. Better to just save it for dodgeroll/block etc.
I have 49 points in health and all purple or gold magicka enchants and I don't cap health without emperor bonus or food, and don't cap magicka without food.
