no invite in EP pvp

Duyo

So right now im in EP and have a vr12 dps NB and a vr10 tank with off heals. only thing that sucks with pvp in EP. most groups are a tight knit guild and do not invite anyone else. so there is constantly ppl saying lfg and not getting any... me included. Is it the same on DC or AD? If I could get into pvp groups regularly id probably switch factions even though itd mean lvling another character.

It's happens in all 3 factions... What server/campaign?

Sometimes you can start your own group and spam some # for people to type for an invite... I've done so and gotten enough ppl to take a few keeps.

NA server. and hopesfire is my home campaign, but i often move to ppl in my guilds to wabbajack or dawnbreaker. honestly if it happens in all 3 faction i may as well quit playing. no point in spending money just to be ignored in pvp.
Wish there was some way to change it

Try to join to as many PVP guild as you can. There are still a lot of PVP guilds in EP that are still recruiting for members.

Use the zone chat to look for a pug group only in desperate moments.

I play on the EU servers with a tight knit PvP guild but we are inviting new members all the time. Our only stipulation, you MUST use Teamspeak. You don't have to talk, just listen.

It could be that the groups on your servers are looking for the same VOI and maybe you should say when you are LFG that you're happy to use comms.

I usually do my thing without a Group. Got used to it while there was huge problems with Groups.
Add PvP loot drops for some risk/reward in this game.

some of the tight groups, do allow people in, if you willing to use ts/vent, I sometime whisper to people that is looking for groups in cyrodil, if they want to join as long as they have ts, then they say they dont have.

funny thing is just get ts and dont speak, listen is the only must when raid/pvp group leaders uses ts/vent.

There are lots of PVP guild recruiting at Shadowfen or Stonefalls. You don't even need to type anything just hang out there and read the zone chat. I was able to join to 3 PVP guilds and 2 trading guilds in the said locations. ;)

GL mate, I really hope you get it sorted because PvPing with a well organised group over TS can be great fun and really rewarding... :)

Sux to hear doubt you'd have a problem in DC people type lfg they get an invite to someones group and ts/mumble/vent and if all goes well an invite to that guild. It's funny how people complain they don't have the numbers to compete while ignoring the pugs that could someday be great players.

Hey Duyo, try finding a guild in dawnbreaker. I'm not sure I know the guilds proper name, but Titans in dawnbreaker was actively recruiting in zone chat. Usually they're led by Judge. (I think it might be Judge Hunter). Add me in game if you like, I'll see what I can do to get you set up with a EP coalition guild. As long as you have TS and are willing to rework your build while following the group lead, it shouldn't be any problem. What class is your tank that you mentioned? I'm at work now, but usually on ESO around 7pm central. I'm confident I can find you a guild. Most of our guilds tend to rarely read zone, and NEVER discuss location and strategy in zone due to people spying with alts and by watching EP live streams. That might be a big part of the problem your having, rather than you being personally ignored.

I constantly see advertisements for teamspeak only groups...I never respond because I'm much happier without teamspeak and do fine without a group or in a non-ts group, but they are always advertising.

I prefere grouping with people on either TS/Mumble and possibly vent...

usually refuse to join groups using skype, due to its very low quality for this and raidcall because it is not really mainsteam myself.

But it is a matter of taste as it is, usually if am in a group I am quite displeased if someone refuses to use either mumble, TS or god forbid it.. vent.. and end up finding another group.

Also a thing is people expect organized people to take them along and then refuse to use the standard voIPs, which is only fair, if the group runs with that you are free to decide upon if you want to join them or not, if the requirement is to be on a voIP and listen.. you either do so... or head into a group that does not really care about it.

Do not blame people for refusing to invite you because you are not on TS, this game is not a dictatorship... people can form whichever they want with others no problem and also people can refuse to go with one because of above mentioned actions or if have a reputation of being let us say a spy, disobeying orders or simply not listening in.

The morale in this story is mainly, have TS/Mumble and Ventrilo installed, it will do wonders and certainly increase your chance for getting a group for pvp in this game.

I just reread the OP, and the problem is that you are expecting them to notice your advertisement, when in reality you need to be watching zone chat for their advertisement and then jump on it quickly...

I almost never get into a squad by advertising myself, even as a healer

Most of the raids we run are open however we prefer TeamSpeak users because it's easier to get people to actually listen to your orders.
As a raid leader it's very hard working with "randoms" as you often say "stay on crown" or "don't attack" and that one guy who never reads chat or listens screws up your plans and tactics.

Just grab TS3/Mumble and you'll gain access to a lot more groups, you don't need to talk just able to listen and follow orders.

It's the same on all high pop servers. Everyone wants to group up, but no one wants to lead and coordinate. I understand that completely. Leading and arguing with 20+ people without using VoIP, sounds like a nightmare. Typing out orders in the middle of siege is a pain in the butt.

PvP guilds will always save their spots for members and only invite random players when the guild goes idle. So joining them is only an option during off-peak hours, when they're desperate for people.

Anyway, I think those rare guys actually doing it, making raids to organize the randoms, deserve a gold medal or something. There's usually only 1-3 guys on every campaign that seems to be willing. They do more for the faction and the map than most people realise.

Yep, and sometimes all it takes to wipe one of these supposedly badass, organized voicecomm squads is getting us 'loners' into a squad ourselves. Follow the leader really isn't that hard, and when most are interested in their team winning, most will follow. Add a healer or two who purges regularly (me) and a group-chat pug can become a force to be reckoned with despite not being able to turn on a dime.

I still don't know what one would need a group for in PvP - besides from leeching AP of other players. Buffs are aoe effects, heals are aoe effects, so why do you need to be in a group? And what is preventing you from building a group yourself?
