My Dragonknight Build

Hi everyone, first post here so forgive me for any mistakes.

I am currently using a Dragonknight build on ESO. He is a Dark Elf and uses two one-handed swords (dual wield).

However, the problem is I can't find a way to link these together. Dragonknights are famed to use big two-handed weapons, but since the Dark Elf has natural capabilities in Ambidexterity, I thought it would be a good idea to go dual wield.

This has become an issue for me since I can not only utilise his capabilities effectively, but also because I can not crowd-control and I am getting picked off easily in Cyrodil.

(Yes, I am Veteran Rank 5, and most of my adversaries are 10-12, but I would at least like a fighting chance).

If anyone could give me a set of skills and attributes that I could use, I would be very grateful.

The skills I am using at the moment on his hot bar are:
1. Blinding Flurry IV
2. Burning Embers IV
3. Stone Giant IV
4. Green Dragon Blood IV
5. Razor Armour IV
U. Werewolf Beserker IV

The attributes I am using at the moment are:
25 in Health
16 in Stamina
8 in Magicka

EDIT: Also, what kind of ranged weapon is suitable for a Dark Elf Dragonknight? I was thinking the Inferno staff because of it's fire capabilities, but I'm not sure if the bow is easier. Thanks!

My first suggestion would be to respec attributes to the 0-49-0 setup. 16 is alot in stamina. Atleast with the game in its current state. I would also take burning talons over stone giant personally. I am not a dual wield so I can not comment on that.

Ok, thanks for your input!

The reason I had 16 in Stamina was to balance my werewolf attributes, as they rely on stamina.

Burning Talons sounds good, I will try that out.

Oh and get rid of werewolf, it's utterly useless and it makes archers & people using fighters guild hurt you a LOT more. Only things you should equip are standard & Soul Strike (unless you're a tank).

I agree with the above. I am a vet 12 DK. I have 49 in health and have used food+enchants to take care of Magicka and Stanima. two of which i have soft capped.

I use 1h and shield so mine is a little different to yours, but i am using

Flame lash
invasion
Burning Talons
Green Dragonblood
Cinder Storm.
Standard of Might. In it's current form WW is a joke, get rid of it. Even the ult gain passive doesn't make up for it.

I have found these to be very effective in PvP. Second bar is just support really.

Although, if you want to be running trials or with a organised guild. You'll want light armour + staff as that seems to be the only DK build used for bombing etc.

That build won't work. Your problem in essence is this: you have a melee build, but you have no gap closer. This means you have to walk up to your opponent while he/she kites you to death and you don't have Dragon Scales to repel projectiles either. This is why you struggle in Cyrodiil.

With the changes to Firey Grip rendering it completely unreliable, to the point that I'd call it broken, I personally don't think DW is a possible option at all for a PvP focused DK. It's a good weapon for NBs that use Teleport Strike/Ambush to close gap, or maybe a Templar that uses Explosive Charge.

Look around, the majority of DKs use S&B for Invasion and a few use 2H for Critical Rush. These are you best stamina-build options for a better kill/death ratio.

Also I think swapping Burning Embers and Stone Giant for Flame Lash and Talons will increase your effectiveness. That's because they synergise and give you a free Flame Lash that also heals you. More DPS, more heals, more mana efficiency compared to your current abilities.

I use Orcish's build, would recommend reflective scales instead of Cinder Storm though.

You don't have a gap closer so I'm afraid your second bar will have to either be a 2 hander for critical rush or sword and board for invade. Invade is the better of the two. Oh someone already mentioned. nm.

Ok guys, thanks for your input.

I am taking a lot of this onboard as I am quite new to MMO's, hence I don't have much experience with stuff like this.

I am now going to ask a bigger challenge.

Can anyone give me a full list of skills (including hot bar and passives) that I could use? This is just to give me a brief idea of how many skill points we are talking and to see if it is worth me re-skilling altogether, or if I can just add a few more.

For things like blacksmithing and other non-combat skills, just put them under "Other" (and specify which ones if you want)

Yep gotta agree.

My main is almost a V11 DK, and is a WW, and tbh its utterly useless, maxed out WW, but only use it to bite people, its useless in everything else. Iv maxed out 2handed/sword and shield/Bow, I personally atm use 2handed and Destro staff, Burning talons and Dragonblood is a must though, Id not bother with dual wield unless your just killing random things. There is a lot more tips I can give you, but got a million things going on lol

Thanks for all the input everyone, I didn't expect this post to get so many replies!

All of these replies have been extremely helpful to me, but I've still got no idea where to start. I'm still debating whether to just swap all the skills out completely or just add to the existing ones (it is a lot of money spent!)

Can anyone suggest a good hot bar that I could use and weapons for both sets? I know this is a big ask, but I'm a bit "noob an dunno lolz"
