Should we have to re do main story for soul magic to build up on alts?

I just started my first alt, got my main up to VR12 and did the main story and all the quest..... now on my alt I have to re run the main story in order to get my soul magic skill line up.....
This seems like it should be something similar to an account wide skill lines. I would hate to have to go thorugh main story 4 or more times for all of my characters? What do you think?

KariTR✭✭✭✭✭YesI'm not sure why you think one skill line should be any different to the others. And trust me, I am really applying my brain in an attempt to figure out where you are coming from, as you haven't given us much to go on.
Personally, I am looking forward to replaying the main story on different characters/classes/builds.1 -

I don't mind grinding out a skill line. Currently they all can be built from playing the game and doing what you want. The main skill line can only be built from progressing through the main story.
As for someone who doesn't look forward to replaying the main story it seems like an issue for me. Try to apply the brain to look at other views. I understand where you are coming from but repeating the main story for no reward on another character is very boring. Trust me, I like story however, the choices you make don't impact it enough to "change" the story thus making it a bland re run of the same content several times over.1
