Would this Stamina fix work?

When spending a skill point on a class skill, you have the option to allow it to cost, and scale from, either stamina or magicka. Could be a Green or Blue dot.

Skills that give Magicka or Stamina return would also flip. For example:

<b>Endless Fury - ***Magicka*** cost:32 magicka</b>
Deals 10 Shock Damage to target. Explodes for an additional 27 Shock Damage if the target falls below 20% health within 4 seconds. The explosion deals 5 Shock Damage to enemies within a 4m radius of the target. Killing an enemy with this ability restores 130 magicka. <<scales from spell power and magicka>>

<b>Endless Fury - ***Stamina*** cost:32 stamina</b>
Deals 10 Shock Damage to target. Explodes for an additional 27 Shock Damage if the target falls below 20% health within 4 seconds. The explosion deals 5 Shock Damage to enemies within a 4m radius of the target. Killing an enemy with this ability restores 130 stamina. <<scales from weapon power and stamina>>

    Yes.
That would probably be the easiest and lazy way to fix the games stamina issue.

I agree with burtenburny, would be a nightmare to balance that. Plus I could see people then focusing on super regen on just one stat.

Could you imagine a vampire NB with rapid manuever, full stam, and crazy stam regen? Now imagine him carrying your precious scroll away from your keep xD. Better yet imagine a sorc bolt escaping infinitely.
My horse can fall off a cliff and then race to the other side of Cyrodil with his mangled legs.....but he cannot defeat the face of a mudcrab, a small rock, and occasionally has problems with stairs. -_-

Does not make any sense whatsoever why magic spells would cost stamina.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

It's not even the fact that class abilities are spells... Making the class abilities use stamina would make the problem worse, not better. Why? Because stamina is your defensive stat, and burning through that even faster would not make melee or ranged stamina options any more viable, no matter the damage. Even if you could replace it with majica.

If this is the road you want to go down, the better solution would be to let the damage scale based on Stamina or Magicka, but the skill still costs whatever ir originally was.

    Example.

I'm a NB, I'm stacking Magicka because I plan on using my Class abilities more than weapon abilities. I can slot a Bow on my secondary bar that will scale with Magicka, but will still cost Stamina to use. The balance will be based on the pool. My Stamina pool is only 1200 so I have limited uses of my bow abilities before I am out. Conversely, I stack Stamina and I can use more Bow attacks and less class abilities, but my class abilities damage will scale with Stamina now.

I think that is the better solution.

By far a better solution. Still has its problems, but better.

Sorry my friend...have to agree with the rest. Spells use Magicka not stamina.

they just need to make it so that if you want to use a stamina build you get an option to switch your magicka to use it like stamina. I think that would work. anyone else? anyone?

im voting no because its only a partial fix. most of the issues between stam vs magica lie in the Armor passives and the Weapon abilities them selves do not hit or scale as good as magica. that and hit box missing accounts for some DPs loss , that is an issue with the targeting system for melee though.

They really should just do the same thing for class abilities that they're doing for ultimates in the update: Make them scale with weapon damage or spell damage, whichever is higher/more beneficial for you.
