Eyeeater's Eyeopening Insights

These are my thoughts on the game! Enjoy!

1. I think there could be some improvements made for the crafts of Woodworking, Blacksmith, and Tailoring, specifically regarding trait research. I tend to hoard all clothing and weapons with traits so that I can research them. I think a good system to implement would be this - in your inventory bag when you are viewing these items, on the item specifics where the trait is listed, if you already have this trait researched it should be green, if you do not, it should be red. It can also get complicated with multiples of items with the same trait (ex: three different belts all with the Exploration trait) and knowing which ones to save for research and which ones to immediately deconstruct. Therefore, it would be incredibly helpful for items in your inventory bag to be categorized by item type (ex: waist, shoulders, chest, etc) in a style similar to categorization by name and value.

2. What's up with my horse rearing all the time when I press space? Rearing your horse serves absolutely no purpose! When I press space, I need my horse to jump, not rear.

3. Prices for bank and bag space seems exorbitant and disproportionate! A 2000 gold bag upgrade for only 10 spaces is 200 gold per space. WHY?

That's all folks. I'll come back when I have more to complain about.

for traits: there already an addon that does that, great one also :)

    2. horse rears if you aint moving or standing to close to a small tiny rock, while pressing jump

    3. Prices are fine, people just dont wanna do anything to get it, I know lots that already have the 240 bankspace, im one, just brought the last today for 85.000, thats what 2-3 months of game play, not that hard. and u know what now, all my gold I earn the next 4-5 years I can have fun with

The real problem here is that, as long as an add on exists to do something, the devs consider it minor and won't put in the time to fix the base game.

Yeah, don't change #2. Its working as intended. If you horse isn't moving or cannot clear the object you're attempting to jump it rears.

I hate when people try to justify missing (and often quite obvious) game mechanics by saying "there's an addon for that." This one isn't quit as obvious but it would sure be a fantastic feature.

What happens when the addon developer discontinues support?

That, and even if they continue it, keeping addons up to date is a pain when you start having tons of them to add in every single little UI element the game should have built in to begin with.

Well I hate people that hates people for liking to customize there ui themselves instead of having everything forced already.....you know what jrgray93 starting a comment like that in a discussion never turns out good so way do it, nothing productive will ever come out starting out saying u hate that kinda of people.....

ESO made a build in addon system, so of course they wanted others to think of things that might be fun to have in, or making it a little easier, just like the skyshard addon, if the game already had this in it, those that like to play the game without marker, would have that ruined

I rather think that's the point of the great add-on support ZOS has implemented in the game. They WANT the players to mod-up the game to make it do what they want. Not to the degree you can in Skyrim, but enough so people have the UI and functionality they want without breaking the game for everyone else.

Personally, I only use a few add-ons, one for trait research which is awesome. Love it. But I also like the clean UI and don't want a bunch of superfluous crap getting between me and the beauty of Tamriel. If you do, peachy, load up on the add-ons and enjoy!

    One word for you: optional.

Optional UI elements. Boom. Everyone is happy.

Also, there was absolutely no hostility to what I said. No ill will was directed toward you. I never said I hate you.

Bank space is 250g per slot buying it through a horse, which also has a high initial investment. The pricing's not that bad, all things considered.

I'm looking at an 11k upgrade to hit 100 slots, and every time I see the price I think "well, I don't really need 100 slots..."

Also blah blah addons blah. The UI element is already optional in the form of addons, let the devs focus on other stuff. Break out a notebook if you're not sure what traits you have left, even.

Actually thought this quite a bit that a notebook built into the game menu interface (like alongside the contacts, mail, etc tabs) would prove useful.

Get the addon "Research Assistant" It's essential. (And the fact that any addon can be called "essential" should give ZOE pause, but whatever.)

I sometimes suspect that the ludicrous cost of bank/inventory space is a way to try to get players to put in more real money for the Imperial Edition or Palomino, since that's the cheapest (in in-game gold) way to get more space. It worked for me, I'm ashamed to say.
