Suggestion: Hairstylist - Change hairstyle and/or adornments/details

I believe it would be great to have an NPC which provides the player with the ability to change their hairstyle (and possibly details/adornments) in exchange for some gold. While a simple cosmetic change, this helps the player connect more with their character should they become bored/tired of the same hairstyle, or wanting to change it without having to redo the character from scratch.

What do the rest of you think?

    Agree 100%.

Being able to add scars as your character progresses, put on warpaint for an event, change your hair just because you want to...

I agree, every now and then it's fun to change stuff around without having to lvl a complete new char to accomplish this

And that is the reason why all my characters do not have warpaint... I just don't feel like having it on permanently, I want it to be able to put it on in preparation for an epic battle :D

    Agree 100%.

Can't link a source off-hand, but I'm fairly certain they said they'd be adding this in the future.

Hopefully it allows full body changes. I can see a reason for only allowing non-invasive changes like hair style, but at the same time people may wish to add the appearance of aging, scars, or body weight additional/removal over time. Even skin color changes to reflect activities.

If nothing else, it can all be explained by magical transmutations of the flesh. :P

I some how doubt we're going to see this anytime soon. Something tells me, like the majority of games, down the road, Zenimax is going to "test the waters", and add some kind of MIcrotransaction on their website, or in the game.

By no means am I saying they're going to go "Free To Play", however other games/companies have tested the theories out on what people are willing to buy, if it's a good idea, and how much profit they could make VS the amount of players lost.

Of course, this is my opinion anyways. I know for the right price, I'd definitely buy cosmetic stuff, even in a subscription based game.

I'm simply saying, don't be too surprised if this ends up happening. It's nothing new to the business.

They said that it will be in game. We just dont know when, and how it will work(currency), or how far we can go with changes(simple hairstyle/makeup or total plastic surgery with transforming Nords into KittyKats).

I would so much rather be able to use something like this ingame:

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10168/?
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

On another note, we need a suggestions category for these posts.

I agree with this completely. While making my most recent character I added some cosmetic changes; and while I liked it at that moment I was left with the nagging feeling I may not like it in 2 weeks or 2 months (and not be able to change it). I think cosmetic changes such as earrings, hairdos, and body paint should changeable at some point in the future.
    Baskin Robbins always finds out.

Well, there was a Face Sculptor even in Skyrim.. (lol, medieval plastic surgery), that allowed to change pretty much anything except race and sex. And also she couldn't work with undead flesh, so no vamp facelifting.

I wish they've made a face sculptor for ESO and added some new (better) hairstyles (preferably big ponytails)..

I just wanna run around Tamriel Korra-style :D

Yes, we definitely need MORE hairstyles! Especially more fluid ones or with bangs. Most of the are all straight or so inflexible. I'm not sure how to explain, they just look so rigid, too combed. I wish hairstyles had a couple hundred more polygons so they would look more voluminous and believable.
